ive been getting into sprite lately vs coke that i usually get..
i dont fuck with diet sodas, they just suck. i'd rather drink water. the only "healthy" soda i'll drink is coke zero.
One day I read a newspaper article about vintage/ obscure sodas, and it named one in particular, Moxie. It said it was completely gross, but necessary any enthusiast tried.
Well I found the stuff in some weird sandwich shop that carried odd sodas, and after years of not drinking soda, I had to try it.
Stuff was so good that it got me drinking soda again, but I stick with the weird stuff now, Moxie being my favorite.

Drinking this right now.
It's pretty good, something like a 7up, but with a hint of bitter Grapefruit, and real sugar.

holy shit i gotta visit the Moxie museum in lisbon, ME
moxie is one of the few soda pops that i actually enjoy
I went to Firehouse Subs and they had this awesome touchscreen soda dispenser that had crazy additional flavors of the popular sodas. I usually mix flavors up - I got 1/2 Cherry Limeade and 1/2 Barq's (best root beer), and next time I'll go grab Orange Coke on it's own because that sounds interesting.
I think they have it at the Wing Stop here too.
I'm pretty sure that's the Coca Cola Freestyle

I don't drink soda at all, but I do drink quite a lot of this stuff...~
Dr. Pepper is my favorite, but I do like Mr. Pibb too. Those are what my all-nighters consist of lol.

I love Jarritos. My favorite flavor is probably Tamarind.

This stuff mixed with a 24oz red powerade is amazing for when I need a bit of caffeine(not that Monster does a whole lot for me anymore) and some hydration. Drank at least two 24oz bottles of that stuff a day in the summer at work. By themselves the rehab drinks are gross.
Big steel warehouse with no AC and record setting temperatures for my region don't mix well.
I'll drink almost anything, provided it's carbonated.
Not sure why. Also, no picture because at work, but Izze is great.

I don't advocate sodas or energy drinks but out of the two, energy drinks are probably the worst.
I'm content enough with my 20 calorie per day drink. It's sweetened with Sucralose, which is one of only two artificial sweeteners to be approved as safe with no discernible cautions.
That's the thing about Monster; in their normal drinks they choose sugar over HFCS and in their Rehab drinks, they go with Sucralose. So really, honestly? In this case the energy drink is far safer and better for you than the soda.
You could also just go and not take either or for optimal health.
I drink about three liters of water per day, and have one can of Monster Rehab in the morning in-lieu of coffee. I'd say that's pretty optimal ♥
You could go an even more optimal route by just totally cutting it out from your diet!
gotta agree with Heigou here, there is absolutely nothing good about those kind of drinks, and even if they are the lesser of two evils it doesn't make them any good at all
they're also rotten for your teeth
isn't baja blast made by mixing mt dew with blue power aid?
In a drink devoid of both sugar and carbonation, what exactly is damaging my teeth?
I'm inclined to believe that a whole lot of the information thrown around here is second hand, poorly researched or applicable to other products. I remind you that this is a non carbonated beverage, containing a healthy artificial sweetener. Yes, caffeine is bad in large doses - but I think a can a day is a healthy way to go~
healthy artificial sweetener
these words don't go together.
and let's have a look

oh lookie, the first ingredient is glucose! and as you know that's super for your teeth! and for all that healthy eating regime too...
i can't say anything for the extracts (though i've also no doubt they're at such minimal percentages any supposed health benefits from them aren't true either), but cranberry juice - despite being a natural product - is also bad for your teeth. and yeah, fruit juice can be just as bad for your teeth as soda is.
there's ascorbic acid (which is vitamin C, just incase you didn't know ^^) and that is famously bad for dental health.
and to top it all off there's our old favourite caramel colour, which again, whilst being natural is made from sugar and acid, favourite of all teeth!
so to summarise; it's crap. if you're serious about leading a healthy lifestyle cut it out, or at least reduce it to one or two cans a week. one a day is ridiculous despite how "healthy" you seem to think it is, by reading the label and declaring the rest of us are churning out "second hand, poor research". if you researched this half as much as you think you have you'd realise what rubbish it is.

i mean, did you even look at the ingredients at all?
Healthy is highly subjective in this case, I don't think of sugar or artificial sweetener as healthy at all.
Outside of natural sugars such as Lactose, Fructose and that kind of stuff, any other sugar such as corn syrup or even artificial sweeteners shouldn't even exist in anyone's diet.
The only caffeine I get is in very small quantities in the green tea or two I drink a day and the literal only sugar I get is the lactose I get from a single cup of milk a day and I've never been in better shape.
"Healthy" usually implies that it can do good to your health and body, while "healthy" artificial sweeteners aren't a detrimental poison, they're in no way good for your health.
rant about diet coke
I prefer the flavour of it instead of regular coke. Regular coke is too sweet and leaves a nasty after taste.
So due to posts in this thread, went and got some cans of soda.
1x Guarana Antarctica
1x Irn Bru
2x Regular Mountain Dew (Which is hard to come by around here, usually)

Soo good. I pick them up from time to time for 50 cents at a local drug store.

I had one of these a while ago and it was delicious, best soda I've had in a while.
Never had sarsaparilla. What does it taste like? Compared to one that has never tasted it before.
Never had sarsaparilla. What does it taste like? Compared to one that has never tasted it before.
Surprisingly enough, it tastes a lot like root beer... Creamier, though, and more full-flavored... Heavier, too, if that makes any sense. Essentially, it tastes less watered down, diluted, and sour than root beer.
In other news, I've been drinking Red Rock ginger ale lately. It's spicy enough that it remains interesting, but isn't as syrupy or astringent as Maine Root or the other craft ginger products. I really like it.
My diet cheat day is coming up, and I've been craving a nice cold soda. Haven't had one in months. Any recommendations for real sugar sodas? I like some big name brands, like Cherry Coke/Dr Pepper, but I sorta want to try something new. Has to be relatively easy to find in the good U S of A, though. Kinda feel like having some sort of fruit flavor... Cherry is probably my favorite.
