Australia is an isolated island, if you wanted to smuggle guns into Australia you'd have a hell of a hard time doing so. The US borders Mexico, tell me how outlawing guns would not create another source of revenue for Mexican Cartels.

Most guns in Mexico are from the US though, Mexican cartels get their guns from us not the other way around.

Because almost every gun in Mexico is smuggled in from the US. :v:
This interesting Vice documentary takes up that issue, and leads me to believe that a lot of Mexicans probably wants the US to enact stricter gun laws for their sake.
Ugh this is so dumb.
The 'Gun-debate' has turned into a debate much akin to the 'Atheism vs. Christianity' debate. People just can't be "won over". So actually, it's not a debate.
I want guns myself but I don't want everyone to have guns.
To the people that don't want ANY guns: GROW THE FUCK UP.
We have extremely strict weapon laws in Denmark, but are the fucking muslim gangs still shooting at each other with guns? Yep.
Stricter weapon law will not deter another school shooting. Only the proper care and psychological screening can help prevent it even a little bit.
"muslim gangs" - get it together, dude. AK81 and by extension rockern are just as much a problem, and what does religion even have to do with it?
And by the way, Denmark has one of the lowest murder rate in the world, so yeah, even though it happens, gun control (along with other factors) definitely helps.
Has everyone who's posted in here watched the videos? Because they're hilarious and you should.
Bottom line: Gun laws are fucked up in USA.
The right to bear arms meant flintlock muskets, not 25+ round rifles.

Where was that written, exactly?
And why does it matter how many rounds the gun holds?
Simo Hayha killed 500 men with a gun that held only 5 rounds at a time and was cycled via bolt-action.

I know. I meant for the average person living in a suburban environment. You really don't need a 20 round magazine. A shotgun is your best bet if you're scared of ever getting robbed.
Oh, and Simo Häyhä? She was a sniper in the military using a modified Mosin Nagant. A rifle which I own. (not hers, obviously.) She was in the military, not your average Joe.
If you want an assault rifle, go ahead, be my guest. I'll keep with my 5 round sniper rifle.

Pretty sure it was a guy. Also he had over 700 kills, 200 from a 9mm SMG. Just a bit of info to clear everything up. Also the argument "you really don't need X" does not apply to anything when it comes to laws. Do we really need TV or internet? How about entertainment? Don't try and pull some bullshit about how those things are "different". Most people use their firearms to hunt with, while doing lots of target shooting for fun. It's like playing a video game, except a hell of a lot more intense, and even more expensive.
john howard is the best
I think the problem in america is that it's way too easy to get a gun illegally. That's why people that I know are paranoid about gun control.
