i'm talking about the fact that certain moderators ban people for "shit poster" yet they make far worse posts themselves. if they weren't a moderator they would have been banned long ago for being absolute shitheels.

That's not true. Moderators are required to be good posters - everywhere except the GMF and OIFY. This also applies to everyone else. I fail to see how this is unfair or hypocritical.
And just about every moderator has posted in OIFY at one time or another.

The BANNED title is for users that, from what I remember, personally pissed Garry off (two reasons: back when birthday unbans still happened, those users would stay banned, and also for the slient aspect).

That's what the original system was back in 2005 and the usergroup was still set to display back if someone was manually placed into the banned usergroup (i.e if garry or myself placed them there) but I got rid of it a few months ago.
Shows its age really, showbans.php hasn't been around for about 2 years now
