[QUOTE=compwhizii;17935818]Because it's fine right now. If you have the serious itching to report someone for something a report doesn't cover very well make friends with a mod that frequents the section (like I do).[/QUOTE] It'd be better with a little space to write in a ban reason. I don't understand why that's such a big deal to you. And PMing a mod is less effective, if they aren't on FP at the time or don't notice the 1 new pm in the toolbar, it would be a lot slower than just reporting it so all mods can see it when they check the reports.
Because I can just see it getting abused and the way it's designed now (From the mod view) just doesn't make sense. It's easier and more inviting to press a button to report something wrong, having to type out the reason just doesn't make me want to report stuff. Besides my report might just be useless anyway, it takes 2 reports for it to show up. So I'm going to type up a full explanation on how the OP is posting threads in multiple spots and it's really just trolling, only for it to never been seen because no one else can be assed to do so? No thanks. The system where users could put specific reasons and details worked a lot better, there was real context and we weren't getting dozens of mystery reports in fast threads where we couldn't figure out what's wrong. PMing mods or bugging them on messengers is really annoying and a bad idea unless they're cool with you sorry your ideas are bad :( Also if you can't bother to take a few seconds and justify why you're reporting posts you probably shouldn't be doing that anyway

All I'm asking for is a small text box to give a barebones explanation on the report. [editline]08:37PM[/editline] Thanks mm3guy.

~stop snitchin' stop reportin'~
here is a mockup I made of what a custom report reason system could look like: [img]http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/393/1630078985.png[/img] and click "Other..." and a text box appears: [img]http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/393/5453659202.png[/img] You type in your reason, click submit, bam! I don't really see what could be bad about something like that.
Looks good.
I like the idea mm3guy, nice.

I like it mm3guy
how are Gold Members determined? by posts or just general love by the mods
[QUOTE=Mr_Sun;17942214]how are Gold Members determined? by posts or just general love by the mods[/QUOTE] It is all spur of the moment pretty much, there is no criteria.
[QUOTE=Benji;17930021]If we moved the Arts forum up, that would still put something below it. If you don't visit GMod sections, use that little minus button and hide them.[/QUOTE] Yeah i do that, but that's not the big problem. It's just that people forget about it and we like many people to see our stuff, not just the regulars.
[QUOTE=TheDKer;17943092]Yeah i do that, but that's not the big problem. It's just that people forget about it and we like many people to see our stuff, not just the regulars.[/QUOTE] So why remove the Gmod section? Facepunch is the only official Gmod forum; It is still only an HL2 modding forum. Putting the Gmod section on a separate site is absurd. And I could say the same about maps, only regulars visit the mapping WIP thread and see what the section has to offer. Hundreds of hours of work and strategy are put into many maps, but very few give a fuck, which annoys me.
[QUOTE=mm3guy;17942515]It is all spur of the moment pretty much, there is no criteria.[/QUOTE] so if I were to be a girl and give you a blowjob you would be like "OH INSTA GOLD" haha good thing I aint a chick. it looks as if they are loved by the Forum a lot though
[QUOTE=TheDKer;17943092]Yeah i do that, but that's not the big problem. It's just that people forget about it and we like many people to see our stuff, not just the regulars.[/QUOTE] The problem is still present, no matter what order the forums are placed in. Personally I'd love to see the Music section more post heavy. I visit that section every day and it's one of my favorites on the forums.. You have to remember that people join the forums every day to post in the Garry's Mod sections, looking for help with an addon, or getting the game going because of an error etc. These sections are important because Facepunch is the official forums of the game and it's (generally) the first place people come for support after their purchase through Steam. If anything were to be changed, swap Games and Arts around. (And add a Film & TV section)
Can garry make it so everytime you quote a picture, it automatically gets put in [noparse][img_thumb][/img_thumb][/noparse] tags?
[QUOTE=TheDKer;17945833]Can garry make it so everytime you quote a picture, it automatically gets put in [noparse][img_thumb][/img_thumb][/noparse] tags?[/QUOTE] If it's an emote then that would mess it up, seeing as emotes are used more than other images.

And the resizing of images within quote tags could be done with a piss easy greasemonkey + css fix
[QUOTE=Root Beer;17945865]If it's an emote then that would mess it up, seeing as emotes are used more than other images.[/QUOTE] I guess it would replace [noparse][img][/img][/noparse] with [noparse][img_thumb][/img_thumb][/noparse], so no it wouldn't mess up

Is there a massive list of what misc.php does?
Isn't misc.php just a large list of smiles? :raise: [editline]09:21AM[/editline] Also yes, custom report reasons would be nice. Also increase max avatar file size to 50kb :argh:
[QUOTE=ashxu;17955893]Also increase max avatar file size to 50kb :argh:[/QUOTE] No it's fine.
is there a list of the codes like [ media] [ /media] ? or do we just have to learn through experience or replying to someone who does a Code or List tag
