One of my first images. Went to a little motoring museum, and this is probably the first thing I shot in there - probably the most fun I've had since with a camera.
So many things are wrong with it, technically, but I do love how the colours came out and how surreal it feels. Probably the most 'artistic' piece, and I've not quite had the success when I've tried to recreate the atmosphere.
I didn't use my camera very often in 2011, so not a lot to choose from.
In 2012 I want to do a 52-project to get back into shooting though.

Tough decision, but I would say this one. Urbex is a lot of fun, and this image illustrates it pretty well. Wandering among decaying structures.

Hmm this picture really warms my heart... Anyways I got my DSLR a few days before Christmas so it's a small pond to fish from.

I don't mean the pond in the picture.
Only got my DSLR in November, but I have been interested in photography for a few years now. You know how they tell you to learn photography by using your camera? Well, I learned it first without the camera. So, I guess I went about it the hard way.
So with about a month of shooting I picked my favourite. It was a practically a favourite as soon as I saw it on the screen.

Also, 2011 was year when I found Facepunch. Great photographic community in this sub-section. Happy New Years, and all the best everyone.
fuck I honestly have no idea... I could probably pick 5, narrowing it down more than that would involve printing them as 4x6"'s and throwing a dart blindfolded at them.
I think this photo for me. My friend pulled out of me taking photos of her so i went and took some self portraits and boy am i glad i did. I actually wanted to get in the lake, this was as far as i got aha.

I took this at Pier 39 in San Francisco. It was Memorial Day weekend and I decided to do some street photography. I found this one to be really touching.

This, because it reflects what is most probably going to be my career (advertising).
Other than that I also think it just looks fucking cool.

I felt like this picture was probably one of the deepest I took this year.. My first year of photography.
There is actually a story behind it! I wasn't just creeping on 2 young girls. I did a photography trip in june for the middle school in my district, and these 2 girls were extremely homesick and tired on the first day of the trip (and after a red-eye flight..). They did eventually level out, but I took this picture the first day at a food court in Washington D.C.
What do you all think?
I acquired my camera mid-october so I only really have a few months to pick from but that said I have taken over 6000 photo's in that time..
Even though what others would consider my best shots would be my light painting work etc for me personally it has to be this:

JD - Triptych by onesizeonly, on Flickr
I. Fucking. Love. This. Dog.
This image captures purely who my dog, JD, is and how his personality works. The story behind this shot goes that I was hungover pretty damn badly and my dad found fun in forcing me to take the dog up the road to the fields and down the beck track. So I decided to take my camera a long seeing as I hadn't properly shot in daylight in weeks because I'd been doing all my light painting and whatnot.
Within 5 minutes of being on the track JD had found a stick and was gloriously prancing around with it (this can be seen here). As we walked further down the track I decided to use this stick to my advantage and took it from him, told him to lie down and then put it down between my legs and began taking shots of him. JD is a very well trained dog you see so he just sits there nicely for me and would usually not move until I gave the order, but this time he felt a bit giddy and excited. The next thing I see in my camera's LCD screen is the trio of shots you see in the image, appearing one after another. I then get tackled to the ground by JD and he grabs the stick and off he went, leaving me laying there on the ground laughing to myself.
I love this animal.

Nothing really special about this picture in terms of content, I'd just say it was the most creative thing i had done with a picture in 2011
You're a fucking dude latir.

Haha, cheers but why?
You have a good face.
Just look like a nice, confident (but not in a cocky way) fella.
It's funny that I used to think that Latir was kind of a cunt because he does so many portraits of himself; it seemed kind of conceited. But now I've learned to appreciate his work and really like seeing the creative things he can do with portrait photography. Especially since most portrait photography is such a strict thing to do with various rules and such dealing with light and composition. So when Latir posts I'm always curious to see what new concept he's invented up and I love that, he's an original photographer that breathes a freshness to Portrait photography.
Mine, I guess you could say it's kinda generic, I like it though.

Ahh, you guys flatter me (no clue why though!). I can't do much else apart from self portraits, to be honest. I don't have the resources for anything else for example! What I've tried to do is just make sure i can still experiment within portrait photography and I've had a lot of help from this forum. Truth is some of the photography i see from you guys blows mine out of the water, with ease!
Every time i see a new post, just shows me how much more i can learn and try out; and every time i post a photograph, i still get that nervous-ish feeling that you guys won't like it!
I lurk mostly in the Photography forum, some guys just make me want to sit in my room. :C

i fucking love that photo
First ever try at portraiture. My best friend needed some photos to paint for her art Port Folio, I was the only one around who could do it. I just love this photo, no bad for a first try right?

First picture of an airplane I ever took with my camera (Nikon D5000)
I took it during a small airshow in the middle of a forest at a disused old airfield in Brattfors
