• Gun Control: Where do you draw the line?

Just like capital punishment, results appear to be mixed worldwide when it comes to gun control and crime rate, very likely because crime involves multiple factors. In which case, gun control should be an acceptable compromise, i.e., between no gun control and a gun ban.
Personally, in my opinion I believe in licensing weapons to a certain extent, so for more military style weapons you would need registration of the weapon to own it, Because unless you are a collector why do you actually need those kind of weapons? Idk this is a fast post, some of you may not agree with it but it is my opinion

People have explained millions of times over that there is absolutely no practical difference between a semi automatic AK/AR style platform, and any other style of semi automatic firearm. There's just no differences and nothing to go on. Just being black and scary-looking doesn't give them magical powers to be more dangerous than any other firearm that has the exact same mechanical and ballistic capabilities.

I believe that guns are the only real fool-proof self-defense method, but the issue of the need for guns only being driven by their availability is the only thing keeping me on the fence.
