Anyway, anyone got good tumblrs to follow? (not necessarily gay ones)
follow mine its under my avatar
I'd follow me
also I saw jack reacher and gangster squad today. jack teacher tried not to be an action movie and was surprisingly low key but I feel it tried too hard to be a cool thriller and just fell short at everything. not enough depth, no empathy, no suspense, but no good action either which meant it didn't win in either sense. it was better than expected though. the best scene wad the really nice opening which was actually shot really nicely following the shooter to his destination in his van then a really long shot looking down the sniper scope as he decided on 5 people to shoot then shooting them all hat was cool. I'm a sucker for long shots (mmm shame you peace of cinematic mastery)
gangster squad owned tho. fantastic cast, cool plot, great style, josh brolin was a fantastic lead who was badass but also still pretty human, Ryan gosling was charming but intimidating. he imo was the best on screen for violence. it wad just awesome watching him. Sean Penn was fucking brilliant as the villain. [sp]the final shootout turn boxing match absolutely OWNED[/sp] Emma stone was good and not just in there as a romance object for gosling.
overall really good film and I really recommend it. its getting treated incredibly harshly in reviews, I understand the characters were a bit generic and there wasn't a massive amount of development, but that's the biggest flaw really.
gonna see les miserables tomorrow, excited for that!

I hate ice cream. It tastes so fucking delicious, but I know it's terrible for me. And if I buy those little ones, they're gone in one sitting. :v:
I should change my avatar to something more gay
I can't be assed to change my avatar anymore. Had a time where I was changing it every other day till I stopped caring. That was a very long time ago, and I barely post anyways.
Might as well ask a question.
My doctor suggested family counselling where I tell my father about my sexuality and why I'm a bit scared to tell him, and where my sister tells my father about her transsexualism (She's a FTM transsexual and she hasn't self identified as a male yet according to my mother and she still wishes to be identified as female until she becomes open about it) , and why she's scared to tell him.
Would it be better to attend that counselling session and tell my father I'm homosexual or just tell him man to man?

If you think you have little chance of him taking it well, I'd say better safe than sorry, best to do it at the counselling session just to be as safe as can be.
If he's the type that you think would take it well, then by all means do it man to man, but I don't think you'd be asking this if that were the case.
Why are you scared to tell him, exactly? Just the usual reasons or is it something else? You don't have to answer that if it's too personal.
Followed like everything, thanks :D
I want to see rise of the guardians like so bad but I have no one to see it with and no money
Why are you scared to tell him, exactly? Just the usual reasons or is it something else? You don't have to answer that if it's too personal.
I don't know honestly. It's just that I don't know what he would think of me, since I'm his son and everything.

You're not missing a whole lot. Just wait for it to go bargain bin.

I'd definitely go with the safer route with telling him at the counselling session then. Hope it goes well for you.

pffft going to the movies with other people only detracts from the experience of the movie
unless it's a bad movie

Like Final Destination 5 with friends was a blast but I'm gonna go see The Hobbit alone sometime this week

You run the risk, however, of having him feel like the family is 'ganging up' on him. I personally think it might be better to either suggest the possibility to your father, or full out address the issue man to man. Then you can better talk about it at the counseling session after he has had some time to acclimate.
Also, did you ever get your special package, roflburger?

He could also ask his mom if she thinks he'd take it well, maybe she could soften the blow so to speak for him before they have a talk. There's a lot of ways to approach it really.
I just can't recommend risking flat out telling his dad if he's not sure how he's going to react because I don't want him getting tossed out or something, as my dad would do that to me if he knew.
I wish we lived in an age where sexuality wasn't such a big deal for some people. One day though.

Yeah but going with like a boyfriend or something would probably enhance the movie but doubt I'll actually meet a guy my age in this small town.
Friends for me are ok at the cinema but if it's something you are really interested in and your friends just want to dick around, you're better off going alone
Anyway, anyone else in the situation of can't meet a guy because small town/other reasons?
I came out to my Mom today, it went really well and she explained to me how she is a very big supporter of gay rights and how she'll love me no matter who I love or what I feel. It was really awesome!

Grats, thankfully my mom had the same exact reaction when I told her too. Always a relief when at least one of your family members accepts you.
