I've been having huge sleeping problems for the last month. Partly because this depression and partly because this 60 year old building is horribly insulated during the winter months. I tossed and turned all night, from midnight until a little after sunrise, and then, miraculously, I fall asleep. I also had a few.... strange dreams, but only one worth noting that I remember entirely.
I lived in some futurisic suburban thing, what the new film Looper would have shown if it ever panned out to a suburban area. I was poor, as I am now, and lived in this slummy rural farm/industrial area in the cities outskirts, which kind of looked like a series of newer but abused linked-together warehouses and the remnants of a planned suburbia, surrounded by a sea of construction cranes hinting previously prosperous times. I was with friends in it, we went to see a movie at the theater, which was underground and had that typical arcade area covered in dust and lack of use, and the old tearing red carpet dotted with stains. I recall the movie being very good in the dream and I'm sad it was fiction when I woke up.
