America may be a shithole, but there are some good things about it, and I can't help but feel a little patriotic about my country at times.

ultra_bright's comments made my day a bit. America does have culture, entertainment, and plenty of other good things. It's just that the rest of the world loves to nitpick at us.

I've talked to European friends who dislike their countries, such as Denmark, Poland, and the UK, and some of them even want to move to the States, so I suppose you are not alone in your thoughts, ultra.

Oh don't get me wrong, America has it's merits and it's moments. Lots of beautiful things here. I definitely want to go to Las Vegas at least once in my life.

But with recent shit lately in this country, with the shootings, and people reaction to these shootings. I just think that I would be more happier to be in a place like Canada.

To take a long story and make it short, she thinks that because I chased around girls instead of boys when I was in elementary school, that that qualified me as straight.

I've already completed the game on easy, I know their tricks
but hey even mind-controlled folks have the same health as they had when they were on my side, whereas a zombie created by a chrysallid from one of my soldiers or a civilian gets [I]10 HP[/I], from a 4 HP rookie or a 3 HP civilian, and proceeds to fuck over my entire team who have guns that do up to 4 damage (but do 2 or 3 unless I'm one block from the enemy or something, and absolutely never crit.)

I'm of the opinion that politics, among other things, are by far the worst parts about being in the US

However the fact that there are so many places that are fucking amazing you can travel to or visit, and how everything is connected via roadways making it literally possible to get to any state (except hawaii) via car is awesome. So many great cities, landscapes, etc. I'd hate living anywhere else because I wouldn't be able to travel out west to see the deserts, canyons and mountains, or down south to visit the beach, or out east to see new york or the new-england charm, etc. I'm pretty sure we have literally every biome and cultural style on earth. The only thing we miss out on are tropical enviornments, but if you include hawaii then that's covered too.
