Yay, boyfriend is coming to visit next month, and my stint of not being able to sleep for 3 days straight is finally over (I cannot imagine what it must be like to be a proper insomniac, by the third day I was just going out completely in lectures for about 30 seconds at a time once every few minutes).

I don't what's up with me. I loved my cat to bits and I prepared to be devastated by it gone, but it didn't touch me. I tried to force a tear or a sad feeling but there was nothing, it was dead and gone and I was okay with it. I had (and have) too much trouble with my personal life so nothing from the outside seems to touch me.
That feeling is more terrible than any amount of grief. I feel like a cold-hearted asshole, but I can't force sadness. It just isn't there. These days, I really don't care about anything and I hate it. I really think I need something or someone to stimulate me emotionally. Like, the only thing I've felt in the last 5 years was Worry and frustration about my future and ennui.
Maybe it's a family thing, my father is, like unaffected by anything. The only strong Emotion I know of him is murderous rage, but even as his dad died (who was very dear to him) he didn't show a single change in his mood. Not cold or introverted, like he's holding something back, just completely unaffected.
I'd hate to end up like this. I want to fall in love again, feel sad, cry my heart out, get mad, thrash my room in rage but there's nothing happening to force any response from me.
Growing up I used to have a bunch of hamsters.
My first hamsters name was Pudding. I was like 7 years old and I was a humungous idiot back then, so I kind of abused them a little. One time I was messing with Pudding so much that his [I]motherfucking eyeball popped out[/I] of his head. He flipped out and I flipped out but then he ignored it 10 minutes later like it never happened. Pudding the one-eyed hamster lived a good long 4 years.
