Honestly the easiest thing to do is cut out potato chips, cut out snacking (try to have 3-6 medium/small meals a day, and don't snack between) and cut out soda drinking
Doing the above is guaranteed success to lose at least some weight, especially at your age
Instead of potato chips get something else thats snacky but not nearly as bad for you. Also avoid snacking, and instead only eat during meal times. Best way to do this is 6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism going but that's not always practical, so keeping it to 3 or so is good too

Oh I am, I've been going to the gym for about a year now. Also because I'm a big person, I don't look like how you'd imagine a typically obese person.

I only do cardio really. I bike, jog, and go for a lot of walks during the summer, spring, and fall, usually for over an hour a day.
The winter sucks because I don't do any of that due to the cold outside. And I'm pretty much stuck inside HOPING I don't get fat.
I weight 260lbs, been weighting between 250-260 since at least 3 years.
I don't mind it, I've got belly to lose and some to cut in thighs, but a lot of my body mass is bones & muscle, my doctor said 230lbs would be the healthiest weight for me. I'm built large as fuck.
But at my last checkup she said I was pretty healthy overall and just a tad overweight.

Yeah, I'm pretty active in the summer but winter sucks
Really most of my weight gain is winter since I do nothing much, but in the summer I work out in the wood and lift heavy stuff all day everyday. And then keep on cracking bolts up the weekends doing mechanic. While in the winter, I sit most of my time or shovel or bring up firewood inside. Not a lot.

Literally one of the things I've been doing to get fit and gain muscle is playing just traditional counter strike. Whenever I die I just do situps, pushups, and squats until the next round. :v:
It's actually pretty effective when you do this daily.

Fat people have tiny deformed bones. His hips are like that because his body mass basically made the bones rotten and soft. They bend out of shape because of all the weight. Bones can take a while to repair themselves once they're reintroduced to normal conditions.

Also all the talk about losing weight made me decide to get back in shape, gonna lose 15 pounds by my birthday (March 8th). That will put me at 190 pounds, which is right around my active weight.

Forgot to mention I'll actually be tracking my calorie intake and I'm doing the 100 push up challenge, 200 sit up challenge, and 200 squat challenge. Might throw some cardio in there if it warms up enough to go to the gym.
