hopefully he does man. If by done with life he implied suicide then he definitely probably didn't do it or really wanted to. One thing i've learned is that if people really want to kill themselves, they're usually very discrete about it and try to not show any signs that could point towards suicidal tendencies. Of course this isn't 100% accurate for everyone. Still, maybe he was just caught up in the moment and went offline

If someone goes "omg killin myself goodbye" and disappears it's USUALLY (Not always) a cry for help and it's mostly to make you worried and stuff.

Goddamn. It's downright unsettling to know that a year or so ago some guy that I know of (but don't know personally) was in a relationship of 5 years with his boyfriend, only to now learn that his boyfriend committed suicide about 8+ months or so ago.
Like, me seeing pictures and shit of these two together and I remember me a year ago looking up to them (in a way) of their good relationship and now when I look back today... one of those guys is dead via suicide. So sad...

sounds like mine, I feel sorry for you. As for your steam account, they shouldn't have the authority to do that as the steam account is yours and not theirs (unless their card details are saved on there). This is why I haven't been too happy about the new chat log addition to steam, my parents are quite forceful when it comes to looking at personal things such as chat logs and they'll just do whatever they can to get onto my computer to find out information or it gets confiscated off me, which is why I never save chat logs.

Most jobs will never bother with rejection letters considering they get hundreds of apps a year, and if its a popular place thousands. Also places with modest turnover rates simply choose to keep applications on hand and if they need someone (due to quitting, seasonal, fired, etc) they just pull out their apps and look through their most recent ones.
The only places I know that bother doing rejection letters are places where you work there as an actual career with a salary and everything. The types of companies that would either have a somewhat low volume of applications due to how specilized the position is or the kind of company that has an HR department that is paid to do stuff like that.
