i've called the places multiple times
it's either "we'll call you back later" or they'll be helpful but say they don't have an opening
It's time to start showing up for work anyway. That'll show 'em.
I've applied at, like, 15 places. Both of the 2 places that I was interviewed at 2 weeks ago said they'll call me back within 2 weeks if I got the job. Today was the deadline and neither of them called back. :(
Call them, you should always follow up
I got an interview like that once, didn't get the job though
So our weather decided to break and be like this instead of -20 for a few days:

Meh I also don't live with my parents. Whatever sort of views they have abouts gays I don't care much about. My sister knows and accepts it fine as long as someone in my family knows im fine.
I know that the moment i come out to at least my sister, she'll want to hang out with me in bars. She's just that kind of person.

Reminds me of that crazy dude in GTA VC who wants to build a river around the Florida border
I started this day happier than I've been in weeks.
And now it's the worst it's been in months.
I seriously feel like sticking my face in a fucking blender or something.
Reminds me of that crazy dude in GTA VC who wants to build a river around the Florida border
It was to cut Florida off from the mainland, float in to the sea, and form it's own country. And put a roller coaster in each backyard

It's too hot.
Every time I call back somewhere they ignore my call or try to end it at quickly as possible. I have even has some places specifically tell me not to call them back.
What I find worse is the online applications, it doesn't feel personal enough, and seems like it would be less likely to get a job.
Finally deactivated Facebook. Feels good, man.

wow what are you some sort of psychopath or what i mean really who doesn't have a facebook i bet you want to kill everyone and everything don't you gosh
I never got this whole "DEACTIVATE MY FACEBOOK I'M COOL MAN" thing and people who flat out refuse to get it.
It's legitimately a useful tool to have and if you're having problems with it you're using it wrong. Don't like that there are people on your friends list that are idiots or can't deal with their shit? Are you not actually friends with them? Then remove them from your list. Having a problem because you posted a picture you shouldn't have? That's not facebook's fault, that's your fault for posting the picture. Someone giving you a hard time on facebook? you can block them.
I don't need facebook to talk to people I don't care anymore about, people I care about I got all I need to talk to them without facebook.
Absolutely no uses in having a facebook for me.

I use it to swap shifts with workers, i have several pages from my uni liked which helps me with news, career fairs that i otherwise would not have known about. I liked a lot of restaurants around campus and get coupons constantly and save a significant amount of money because of it. I can get in easy contact with group project members much more easily then i would with just an email or phone number. If i met someone briefly i can easily friend them on facebook and get a message across to them if need be. I can get news incredibly quickly through it as well, news i would have gotten maybe hours later as im not checking local news sites on an hourly basis.
Honestly facebook has long ago transcended from just a socializing tool but into just a life tool. If you're using facebook just to be friend with dicks you hated in highschool then you're using it wrong. I hardly use facebook for the social aspect anymore. Whenever i do make a post on my account it's usually just me rambling to myself, i'm known to have really weird yet well written posts that are just completely out there so a few people love me just for that. A lot of posts about squirrels that i saw around campus because they somehow get like full oreo cookies, chocolate bars and food. One time i saw one with a whole muffin just running happily away.
I don't go to school anymore, no uses for it to know stuff about it. Nor do I need it to save money at restaurants, since here, we still get daily coupons in the mails.
As for workers, most of my co-workers are older than our parents, so no need to have em or shift stuff around.
News I get all on my cellphone.
So no, you still haven't convinced me it actually had a use that I can't do with what I currently have.
I stopped using Facebook mainly because I was tired of seeing people I knew having better lives than I did. I didn't really hate anyone I had added, but I it just made me depressed to see everyone having so much fun, out partying, doing things THAT NORMAL PEOPLE SHOULD BE DOING, WHY AREN'T YOU DOING IT TOO?

I see that all the time and even i get a bit like that but i don't let it bother me that much. Because i think it's stupid to be bothered at looking at a picture of someone you hate from highschool having fun and getting jealous over it. What they're doing is not my definition of fun. I'm also fully aware that i can go out and break this cycle, i don't back myself into a corner by saying i can't do it. I don't do it because honestly i don't care that much. When i was younger it really bothered me and got me depressed until i realized that i wasn't making a conscious effort to remedy the situation.
You're just sort of running away from the problem here by applying the "out of sight out of mind" tactic.
But if it seriously helps then more power to you.

Pffffffft, I stopped using it because that's all I saw on there, and it was boring, I don't enjoy getting smashed every weekend in some club with expensive drinks and shitty music and waking up with bruises from a fight I don't remember.

Well hold up here, i just proved that it had a use for you. The keyword here is "had". Now it doesn't.
I wasn't really trying to convince you either, i was just saying how facebook can be a very useful tool. Aside from the reasons i already posted it's also a good way i had to keep in contact with my siblings and extended family. Though now my brother and sister are both on steam so i can just talk to them through that. I still use facebook to send things like photos though just because it's easier for them.

i liked the old one more :(. I quite like your shark character.
Anyways, i agree with you on that. Seeing people having fun stopped bothering me because their idea of fun was getting drunk at house parties and shit. My idea of fun is vastly different.

I still use facebook because its the only way i can get to know other people, because no one likes me enough to actually talk to me in person. :(
I still use facebook because its the only way i can get to know other people, because no one likes me enough to actually talk to me in person. :(
This is another reason. It's much easier for me to talk to people through text than in person due to the fact that i speak incredibly quickly and often stammer and stutter. I've been known to get stuck in alook of saying "it's" or "i's" for quite a bit. So typically people need me to repeat things quite a lot.
Plus i can't do small talk. At all. I just seriously can't.

":O!"
would rents have a shark puppy or would that be a horrible human-having-a-human-pet like thing
Well I don't have actual good reasons to use Facebook as said, my friends, got their phone numbers & usually they have skype & steam too.
The other people I "know" well I see them when I see them, usually have a few of their cellphone numbers.
Otherwise, I'll say that out of school, I have no real reason to "talk" to people who don't care or stuff. Since well, I don't have said problem. And as far as family go, I have my dad(Whom is here) and my mom(Who moved in another city, but skype + phone.)
So it's all good.
/Beer is yummy.
What if I just like my privacy?
I'm going to breach your privacy so bad you'll think you're being stalked every last days of your existence.

this is why I dont link facebook to anything or put it on facepunch :v:
How am I supposed to actually stalk someone of facebook, if I don't even use it, thought? :v:
But doesn't mean I won't track you down, take the next plane, suit up and stalk ahead.
i've pretty much given up on facebook privacy
i have friends who share/post the all sorts of weird and nsfw shit to their walls and i just comment on it even though it probably ends up in other friends' social feeds saying that you commented on something
infact 3 people removed me because me and a friend kept posting and tagging people in photos of Michael Cera :v:

I dont feel like plastering my private life all over the internet to people I know irl. Not having a facebook account has saved my ass a few times :v
Mostly from embarrassing friends who keep trying to add me and other little things. Other than that it would take up too much of my life.
