I'm probably going to get Dark Souls too. It's only $20 and the PC version is full of modded characters, and that annoys me to no end for some reason.

The reason it's full of modded characters is because you have the option to play the game for a LONG time to get your build to where it should be for PvP (or where you want it to) or you can simply pop the character into what needs. Also, recent update sorta broke a lot of that, and modded characters are not really that common.
Trust me, I would know because for a while Dark Souls was all I did or talked about.
Xbox still has plenty of modded characters which I found out 'fun' way with my always human no shield no armor two handing a slow greatsword only character. BB glitch, oh god awful times.

Besides, most of my friends don't even play games on PC, so getting console versions of games benefits me.

Oh i know, what i'm saying is that it seems PC games never seem to have any friends they can play pc games with. Like local friends not friends online.
I'm a straight up pc gamer but my friends only see pc gaming as a thing nerds addicted to MMO games do or a platform to play League Of Legends on. I still play cod with them on their ps3, i can still have fun, i just wish they'd play a pc game with me.

except due to how DkS's multiplayer works even if your friends do have it on Xbox you have the same chance to connect to them as you would on PC
