guys i just thought of something i never thought of before and given the nature of this thread im sure one of you could answer my question
let's say you're a guy and your name is jeff phantasmo and you're transgender, if you went through with the whole hormone therapy/surgery thing and now you are a girl, is it generally accepted that you're going to stay jeff phntasmo or do most people change their name
unless in some kind of weird twist every transgender person on earth has a unisex name like alex or something
People tend to change their name since names are important to gender perception.
i have a totally unisex guy name and i still want to change it cos its associated with parts of my life i want to forget

He's asking about how they're actually going to test that the vaccine actually works, not about whether the vaccine will infect you.
If he read the website it would say that they inject you with the vaccine first. HIV tests work by searching for HIV antibodies (that would attempt to destroy the virus), so if the vaccine works, you shoul d have HIV antibodies. They don't have to actually give you the virus to test for it.

I kinda want to change mine too. I know it'd be weird though, because it's what people know me as, but I dunno, I sort of feel like changing it from time to time. Plus the spelling bothers me so yeah.

Hello, I've never seen anyone who spells it that way either, aside from my father. Everyone mispronounces it too. I remember that a hospital screwed it up so bad that they called my father José.

I've never had to worry about it with my mother, though it helps that my brother came out to her when I started thinking about telling her, so I knew she would be ok with it. So I told her and she proceeded with a joke about how she's never going to get grandkids. (What are the odds of that? Out of three children, one is gay(my brother) and another is a gay leaning bi(me))
My father is another story. His side of the family, including him, has major homophobic tendencies. At birthday parties and such I always hear them talk about how they won't go to this shop or that one because they support gay rights. They're also the stereotypical kind of christians that constantly talk trash about anything that doesn't fit into their narrow view of the world.
Normally I wouldn't care if they all knew, but as I still have to live with my father, I have to keep hiding it until I can either move out, or he gets kicked out. If he found out, he'll throw a fit and start harassing me.
