I love how when you get older, money doesn't mean as much. When I was in 5th grade, I found $35 in my gym shorts 3/4 through the year. That shit was awesome. Now it'd by me food for a couple days...
Bwhahah brilliant. I roomate with my sister and we just got an xmas gift in the mail addressed to the both of us from our aunt and uncle. It's a chippendales calendar (you know, the models that are buff, wear only tight underwear and have bowties around their necks) :v:
I've never offically come out to my family as a whole (never found the opportunity/reason) but I guess from me bringing my BF around to a couple of gatherings plus my sister being gossipy they all pretty much clued in, and this calendar proves it :v:

Worst thing about getting older is that Christmas loses all it's charm. What used to be one of the only times to get X cool thing you've always wanted, is now a day in which you are more poor than usual and spend more time than usual with family :v:
Because when you have money, every day is basically like christmas. If theres a big expensive item you just want, it's one of the things you buy when it comes out/when you get the money for it. So xmas time is usually the time where you instead get a bunch of small/clever gifts of things you didn't want but are still pretty cool. And everyone also hates shopping for me for xmas just because I tend to already buy the things I really want/need beforehand, and as such I don't really have any xmas lists made up or etc :p
Well, since I'm a collector of robits, christmas is the time I get stuff which I can't justify buying normally. Like stuff I'd have to pay import on.

Ever since I was like 7, and the first of my older brothers left home for university, Christmas has always been the time of year when all my family's together. I can't remember a Christmas without one of my brothers having to travel up to the house. It's been a bigger deal in the past 3 or 4 years, now that my second oldest brother (first to leave) lives in Greece, so he travels from there. And this year and last, I've been having to travel up too.
Present-wise I tend to get games and DVDs really, so it's not a huge deal, but still good.
Fun fact: In July 2009 I visited my brother in Greece. That visit must have been the time when I joined this forum, as the flag add-on for Facepunch apparently sees me as being in Greece.
I feel as if im the only one who doesnt like christmas.
It annoys me now, and i just want it to be over.
My whole family loves it, which sucks more
Its just another day to me. Except we have this faggot tree which likes to molt with perdy lights all over it.

Better to love & lost than to never be loved at all?
I'd rather have an online relationship, or a lot of e-frands than nothing altogether.

What sucks is loving someone who is 3,000+ miles away and only being able to spend 12 days of the year with him. Oh and of them 12 day having your and his parents around they are both homophobic.

including every other day of the year knowing you have someone in your life that you want to be with but cannot and vice versa, for a long, long time
it's your life dudes but i very sincerely do not recommend pursuing a long distance relationship or letting it happen, i'm not saying it can't work out, but it rarely does
i recommend working on improving your social life and meeting new people
i don't care if you think there's no one interesting around just do it

Except I'm an adult and can actually afford to see my internet friends. But getting them has been hella tough for me lately.
A lot of people just find me annoying to talk to. :(

I love christmas.
Though a lot of that comes from me seeing christmas as a kind of celebration of winter moods and such. These past couple of christmases have just been okay.. mostly because of school, living in the same general area where my family lives anyways, and the fact that we've had awful winters this year and last year.
Usually in ohio we get cold, snowy winters. Not as much as maine or anything like that, but usually there are several weeks that go by with snow constantly on the ground and temps that average between 10f-30f. Its a true, stereotypical winter atmosphere and theres a lot of places that reek with charm in such weather. These past two years though it's been warm all winter long, lots of rain, and no snow except once or twice (and it was nothing more than light flurries, rather than something that accumulates). The lowest its gotten outside is 28f and that was in the middle of the night for one day. Average is probably 45-50f.
It feels more like spring than winter, which is really weird and totally kills the christmas atmosphere for me. I can't even believe xmas is in two days, it just seems like we've not even started winter yet at all. No cold, introspective silent snowy walks, no cozy "by the fire" warmth with the BF, no close family atmosphere to counter the snowy cold outside, etc. Its just like last year where xmas time is simply going through the motions and then getting a couple o neat gifts.
My boyfriend might be moving like an hour and a half away and now I am a total mess :(

Don't do it, all he talks about is furry porn. :v:
