If you liked Cowboy Bebop, try watching Ghost In The Shell (the TV series), it's pretty awesome.

So It turns out my mother probably isn't comfortable with me being gay.
Today she referred to it as a "mental disorder". When I told her "it's not a disorder" and "you need to stop with your silly-ass thinking", she said for some dumb ass reason: "You're doing it to hurt your father."
After hearing that I backed out of the conversation and started to think of ways to deal with this situation. I love my father very much and I'm trying to hang out with him more often because he leaves to work at 6am and comes home at 6pm or 7pm to half nap and half watch TV until 11pm when he sleeps. I can only really hang out with him on holidays or rarely Sundays when he's wide awake.
I don't know why some parents have that mindset, how could anyone pretend to be gay to hurt their family members. That's such a tragically ignorant way to see things.

maybe she told him and he said it wasn't right or something?

I had a pet snake once, it choked on the wood chip bedding my dad put into it's habitat and it died the day after I got it
