I have a g1 license which is the first step in getting a full G license in Ontario.
It goes [written test --> G1---> wait a year and then a road test ----> G2 ------>wait another year and then a highway test ------>Full G]
I can't drive on any major highway or between 12am and 5am.
I also have to have someone with a full G sitting in the passenger's seat.
so that's essentially a permit
Ahh yeah, that's a provisional over here. I'm a few lessons into mine, not sure what I think about driving so far really. Even if I do pass, getting a car would be fine, but the insurance and petrol would be crippling.
