winston was originally written to be the smartest character of the crew and a marine, but was never mentioned in the movie so laymans terms can be explained to the audience
the marine part was later made canon in the novelization and he mentions studying for a doctorate before joining ghostbusters in the video game

No interest in the new film, same with 2009's Star Trek and the Robocop reboot, watched the trailer and just decided to ignore it, that's as far as it goes for me. The drama that's being drummed up over this film is bad.

My "local" (I have to drive pretty far to get to it) theater has a single poster in a corner that is obscured by a pillar. The only way you could tell it was Ghostbusters was the logo.

And thankfully, that means that all of this drama about the video is something James doesn't need to worry about. His fans aren't upset and that's what matters. The only people that are are upset are totally irrelevant.
Literally the only people complaining are people who are over-zealously shilling a movie that's not even out, or are desperately trying to cling to relevance by attacking a well respected youtuber.
