I've used a recurve and a compound but I prefer the feel of the recurve. My hobbies are Origami and Chainmaille. Occasionally I like to shoot my bow but I wish I had a decent one and a place nearby to shoot at, instead of the woods where I tend to lose my arrows :smith: But bowmaking sounds like a pretty cool hobby, yeah.

I really do not understand why others go so far out of their way to ridicule and criticize one another on shit that has no impact on them at all. I was always told "those that can't do criticize". While this may not always be true some people are just dicks but who cares fuck em. If it makes you happy do it. I have been into HO scale model trains since I was about 4. It's a fun hobby, it doesn't necessarily have to be as tedious as people think. It used to be when most stuff was kits. However now days pretty much everything is RTR or Ready to Roll. Hell they even have a huge selection of prebuild and prepainted buildings. You can even get people to build layouts for you. I prefer to build the kits though because they kill time.
I don't know if it's just my area but the only thing close to any hobbies you can talk about here without severe amounts mockery are binge-drinking, drunk hookups and getting stoned. [editline]11th September 2011[/editline] Oh and BlackOps, if you're a gamer you're a faggot, but if you play BlackOps you're a bro, bro.
I collect Lego minifigures, but lots of people give me weird looks for that one. I also enjoy target shooting, but apparently in my area knowing anything about guns automatically makes me a psychopathic killer so I don't exactly tell people about it. So, uh, I don't really have any socially acceptable hobbies.
I don't really have a hobby other than obvious shit like vidya and lolinternets, but if you call just researching random trivia and the like a hobby, that's me. I love trivia about anything, but I really like musical trivia.
I build guitars. Probably going to build a pine hollowbody version of the Italia Modena with a masonite top and back next, or maybe a scroll bass à la Carl Thompson if I'm feeling adventurous.
I'm training to get my pilots license, to later join the air force, and just recently solo'd for the first time. I also build model planes.
just recently solo'd for the first time.
Congrats to you!
When I was in school, I read Wikipedia on my laptop non-stop. Still do that when I have nothing else to do. God forbid people get knowledge.
I really don't have any hobbies to speak of, but one thing I've always wanted to really get into is music and art. I've always been tempted to compose music or maybe get into drawing or something, maybe even make an unfunny webcomic that people still like reading something (ala Ctrl-Alt-Del, anything made by Tom Preston, etc). I definitely have the tools to do it: I got a pencil and paper for drawing, I got musical instruments for musical endevours, and I even have an old music composing program (LMMS) lying around for that, too. Problem is, I've never gotten the ambition to get off my fat ass and learn how to do things. I always feel overwhelmed by how bad I am and how good other people are (or just because of the learning curve in the program and the fact that I don't understand a thing about samples and stuff, in the case of electronic musical composure), and it makes me just throw out my ambitions and just go back to doing nothing like I've done every day since I was born, but more likely I'm just lazy. Really lazy. But I digress, yeah I really don't have many hobbies. :v:
The hardest part of doing anything is starting it Just try, don't be such a pussy about it
I occasionally play with lego, and I'm 21 years old :D
Glad to say I'm not in america. Doing WH40k is acceptable and people actually find it cool. Video games is more than totally acceptable. Stacking cups (which my friend does) makes him special for some reason, apart from the fact he's awkward for doing that. Oh sweet Malaysia, I'm still looking forward to going to Australia.
I occasionally play with lego, and I'm 21 years old :D
I find Lego is fine for all ages really, it just depends on whether you actually "play" with it, or if you just like building it for display.
I occasionally play with lego, and I'm 21 years old :D
Lego is the F-ing BOMB!
I make costumes as a hobby. It definitely takes a long time but worth it in the end. People are rather impressed with it then anything else. They get even more impressed when you say that you made it. I'm overly obsessed with military stuff and guns.

Fiddle diddling with radio frequent electronics (read: transmitters). Everyone arround me just sees it as a kind of magic, but a hobby not very often seen.
Building/fixing computers is a hobby I'm looking into. Hell Perhaps even a job. I'm a geek :v:
