I like this thread. Makes me want to get hobbies to talk about other than gaming/technology interests. I like guns, and motorbikes like street/dirt bikes, but I don't own any weapons or cycles unfortunately. Too young for a gun and too broke for a bike. One day those will be a nice little hobby though. Psychology is a fun thing for me too, because it gives me things to think about when people are talking to me, rather than thinking about what they are actually saying, which is usually rudimentary. So it's like I'm talking to them on a deeper level, but I'm actually not, but I can interpret their thoughts and stuff with what they're giving me and how they are presenting it. I like it, mainly because I'm an over-thinker, and if I don't have things to over-think about when you are talking to me, I get sort of choked up and don't know what to respond with, because I don't know what an appropriate response would be, because I don't talk small. It's all very fun whence I get a hang of interpreting and responding appropriately. I can't wait to be a psychologist hehe.
AKA Small talk is regurgitated by my brain into large talk and then back into small talk, and if it isn't, I suck at small talk. ~Way2overcomplicateShit~
Tapping the nearest surface in a rhythm and feeling like a drumkit legend.
Also, Drawing (NOT ANIME, NEVER ANIME), photography, pretty much all art except pottery, fuck that shit.
I am also obsessed with all things Halo, and Lego. I don't use the manuals, I just make it up as I go along.
I don't use the manuals, I just make it up as I go along.
Heh, I used to never read any manuals either, until I utterly destroyed my 200€ bookcase D:

lego bookcase..?
I'm into photography, and I'm trying to get a little into playing various instruments, possibly singing.
[editline]13th September 2011[/editline]
So those are typically socially acceptable, and fun too.
I like drawing too
but it's mostly anime shit
so you'd all probably hate me for it.
lego bookcase..?
Well not Lego, y'know the ones you have to assemble. I didn't have any knowledge in assembling furniture back then.
I've been taking up with piano. It's fun.
are lego sets a cool hobby?
only cost me $175 for this mega fucker, at 2048 pieces its the biggest technic set ever made, including electric motor functions output on the front and back, motor powered air pump for the crane pistons, and a fully independent suspension with accurate 4 cylinder engine connected to the wheels by 4 wheel drive
the crane and winch can trade positions on the Mercedes unimog 400 and the crane, winch, and cargo hold rebuild into a fully operational snow plow

I've only ever had positive reactions when I tell people I do it. The only "That's pretty gay" reaction I've had is from my brother, and he's just a joyless shitpail in general so he doesn't count.
That's pretty fucking awesome.
I'm only 15, but I plan on getting in on that stuff when I'm older.

do they bring in amputees and give them movie makeup that makes them look like their legs\arms just got blown off?
Edit:
Fucking despise this idiotic obsession with BMX's and skateboards, especially in 12 year olds. IMO it's just them trying to be ub3r Co0ol l337 g4ng$tazZ but unlike most hobbies it is unlikely to really get you anywhere in life...
Skateboarding can get you plenty of places in life, places that you can only really appreciate if you skate.
That's like saying playing a sport is pointless.
[editline]14th September 2011[/editline]
So I can't ride a bike or longboard without being a faggot who is going nowhere in life?
longboarding is most definitely for faggots/pussy ass niggas.
I can go with any hobby actually.
I mean, Trains are fun, R/C is fun, Paintball is great, I'm into Motorcycles and Cars, LEGO, I play the Saxophone (I do jazz, blues and classic not marching band), Photography, Videography, Modelling (as in making small kits ), Building DIY stuffs, not much Into drawing but sometimes when I'm doing schematics it turns into some weird modern art.
And more.
niggas.

I'm not too into sports (im a nerd) but I wouldn't say its stupid. Its a great way to get healthy, make friends and have fun.
Regular sport is fine and all but to be honest professional sport is unhealthy.
I like to do drugs, mainly smoke some weed. I love psychedelic experiences.
I'm curious, but not overly curious.
I would love to start doing archery.
I find sports stupidly pointless and boring.
Just another over-hyped thing in the world really, its stupid. People are obsessed with dreams of becoming their favorite sports hero, and its pathetic.
How is having a dream of becoming a sports star pathetic? It's exactly the same as wanting to excel in field X, in this case X being a sport.
I'm a sabre fencer.
I burn effigies of my co-workers.
I find it idiotic when people in my school are talking about how they didn't sleep all weekend because they were playing cowwadooty, but suddenly I say I was playing TF2 for a few hours and I'm the nerd with no life. Seriously?

Ignore those people. Don't even bother talking to them about things other than CoD because they couldn't care less.

please be a joke
I don't like any sports at all, except basketball.
Which I'm awful at.
I like watching it though. It's ridiculously cool.
I get a lot of shit for CUBING, though (Rubik's Cube).
I remember at a school camp some guy wanted to borrow my cube and try it, so I let him. Apparently he tried to peel off the fucking stickers and re-arrange them because he couldn't solve it (you have NO idea how many people say to me "LOL I USED TO PEEL OFF DA STICKERS"), so I had to sit there for about an hour re-arranging the fucking stickers properly, and the glue was all fucked up by the end of it.
Never again will I let somebody "try" my cube.

Warhammer 40K is fairly acceptable. I don't actually make/paint them anymore (used to), although i do have quite alot of stuff.
Things like this are awesome:

While Warhammer 40k may or may not be very socially acceptable, it's still a great hobby, in my opinion.
Why does a hobby need to be socially acceptable as long as you enjoy it?
