Socially Acceptable Hobbies. - General

People who bully others because of their hobbies are cowards and hypocrites. Everyone has interests and it's such a shame to see some seen as more socially acceptable. If you pour you heart and soul into something it can be heart crushing to have other make fun of all that you do.

my hobbies are street art, weightlifting and poetry. Poetry gets you a lot of shit as a teenager, but can be a major puss magnet down the line. Only thing people have ever really mocked me for hobby-wise is my obnoxiously eclectic music taste, and I couldn't give less of a fuck about what they think there. A hobby is something you do because it entertains you personally, so what other people think shouldn't come into it, regardless of how vocal they are in objection.

Tabletop Everyday Son! Dungeons and Dragons. You guys should play with me sometime My Main name for all my characters is Mandalore the Cunt Destroyer! And WArhammer 40K! I love these man, Buy em!, paint them , and play with them. All by myself. It's Fun, but it feels lonely. you know? Earlier this year I actually picked up my guitar and basically taught myself to play. All I did was just start off by looking up chords on the internet and just worked my way up to being a pretty decent guitar player. So if you wanna get a guitar or happen to have one I would suggest doing that. I used to think I would never be able to play and boy was I surprised. Its a great hobby!

I went to international schools my whole life and the only social hierarchy we had was rich kids and slightly less well off kids. I was the latter, but there was never anything about hobbies and what not. When your entire grade consists of 50 kids, you sort of don't judge things like that. It was just who could afford the best clothes and go to the best clubs, but that was retarded. It pissed me off though when the rich kids acted really arrogant. There were really nice ones, but some of them were just douchebags. In terms of grades, they definitely did worse in general than the poorer kids. Also people need to stop saying that all upper middle class people are automatically given jobs by their dads, its generally not true.

I love model railways, not got any space for one now though :( The thought of constructing my own little world really does get my imagination going (and perhaps... not in a sexual way)

I like how video games are never seen as a hobby because "they aren't real", yet movies are a totally acceptable hobby.

I like models. there's something oddly relaxing about putting them together, and plus I think they look neat.

I had to wear a speedo, I got an all-over (most) body tan, I was able to glide through the water like one slick mother-fucker and qualified 16th out of 80+ other people in my event in league finals, I was able to become tremendously fit because I applied something called effort and I made so many friends during my years in that team. It's so pathetic.

Compared to the American schools the schools in Sweden must seem like heaven. I don't think I've ever seen one single person being bullied in any of the schools I went to. Everyone kind of got accepted for whoever they where and whatever they did in their free time. Didn't matter if they devoted all their free time into sports, gaming or trains and this was in schools with a few hundred students.

Saw him play CoD4, and he would shoot people running, fully hidden behind walls and get perfect headshots after about 4-5 seconds. Mind was blown.

Smoking pot is a socially accepted hobby, one I might even recommend.

The whole point of a hobby is that you do it because [b]you[/b] enjoy it. If you choose your hobbies based on how acceptable they are to other people, that just makes you a shallow douchebag.
