Yeah it does, at least it does when trying to jump into vents.
There is a vent in Route Canal that I jumped into without having to hold crouch.
i don't remember being able to do that without crouch jumping and i replayed it pretty recently
but then again, that IS half life 2. hunt down the freeman theoretically shouldn't even function on the source engine, yet somehow it does. barely.

Maybe they fixed it then, maybe it’s a config option I some how had enabled

If you don't use noclip you don't deserve to play this masterpiece
It's worth nothing that unlike many source mods, Half Life 2 and its episodes can be played to completion without crouch-jumping, which is why the game doesn't bother teaching you the mechanic. Orange Box was the first game I ever got on Steam, and I didn't know what crouch-jumping was for years after first playing through Half-Life 2. It was only when I downloaded Black Mesa that I had to learn how to do it, as there's at least a couple of platforming segments where crouch jumping is mandatory.
Couple? In the Black Mesa mod version you had to crouch jump over everything. Even the simplest things like a small platform 2cm above the ground required a crouch jump.
It’s pretty strange that crouch jumping for me is a normal thing to do that I do it pretty much subcounciously in every fps. Its automatic. But then again I grew up with Half-Life.
Intentional or not it does not excuse the fact that there is textures for somewhat detailed privates that's used on the models for children (even if that exact part of the sheet is not used).
All it shows is that they could not be assed to take the literal 3 seconds to look at their textures and go "holy fuck this texture for a child has a penis in it" and fix it.
They immediately removed it when they found out about it, you're overreacting about something that was just a legitimate oversight made in ignorance, not malice.
The texture did not show up on the model that came with it, so why bother going through the texture? It's not exactly obvious that someone might have hidden a penis in it, and that you should go through the textures to find out.
But hey let's overreact and call the FBI and CIA instead of doing the logical thing, which is notifying the dev so that they can take action with whoever put it on Turbosquid.
I find your actions to be malicious and a waste of time and resources over an absolute non-issue, biased by the hatred of a shitty mod made by people who mean no harm.
All this aside, you keep forgetting that this texture wouldnt count as CP anywhere anyway. Even in those countries that do ban drawn CP, it still needs to be depicting a lewd act aganst the minor or something like that, otherwise you would need to burn down every old painting that has a naked kid on it. This counts, at most, as an ESRB violation (if HDTF was even rated in the first place).

Rara has an axe to grind after getting banned from the HDTF discord.

Crouch Jumping itself always bothered me from a gameplay standpoint. I mean for "climbing" into a vent, it makes sense because the vent is too small for you to stand in, so you have to jump and crouch to "simulate" climbing in, but for a normal fucking knee high obstacle it makes little sense.
In the classic Thief games, you could hold space to grab the edge and hoist yourself up. I always thought that made more sense than having to "JumpDuck" to avoid setting off a tripmine or climb a concrete barrier.
I'm only really complaining because it just feel kind of awkward. In other games you USUALLY don't have to Jump Crouch, and even in Half Life it's something you do rarely, so for new players, it's not uncommon to get stuck there. Granted the HL1 Hazard Course teaches you how to jump duck, but still.
I spent ages trying to find a picture that best depicts crouch-jump in real life, and the best I've found is this:

It's pretty much precisely that.
Or how about that part in half life hazard course when gina cross' hologram demonstrates you the crouch jump and you can very clearly see in cutting edge 1998 skeletal animation what the maneuver looks like

That's a well defined watermark right there.

Crouch-jumping is the secret to getting a perfect ass.

Those cones look photoshopped in
Gosh... I just can NOT get over this bland level design. I mean my god! It just looks like a Gmod map.
I could be mistaken, but I think HL2 since the engine update has auto crouch jump.
It does, to some extent. When you jump, you'll automatically step up smaller ledges you wouldn't ordinarily be able to clear in a game like GMod.

The funny thing is that many assets and maps are actually decent maps, they're just made into really shitty maps by way of them having shit spammed all over them without care
Some may be unfinished or test maps that aren't meant to be used seriously
Some might be straight up stolen
Many are in fact, literally gmod maps
Outside of ones that are just ripped from hl2 (even those ones tbh), most of them weren't designed towards any sort of single player story campaign so they don't really flow in a way that's logical and consistent.

Imagine if you just took a shitload of Unreal Tournament capture the flag maps, scattered npc's and zombies around it, added a spawn point, shitly written cutscenes, and a 'next level' zone and that was your game
[editline]6th March 2018[/editline]
Oh and for some reason you forgot the textures and models for some of those levels, so it wouldn't even look finished
