Think the bottom line of this is that Twitch doesn't want to bother with it for now. The reasons are pretty questionable as well but they just made it easy for them self. In the end I'm sure it will be allowed on Twitch once its done. At least thats what I get from the last part of the email.

They're made for others to use in their games. Unless he pirated them, for which he would have probably got into trouble already.

i dont really the mind the whole using the asset store for stuff like furniture and all that but the main problem with it for me is that they are using it for the main character of the game. It doesn't feel like you put effort and care into your main playable character if you just buy the model from some random dude. one of the reasons gaming is a artform is because a developer can have their own unique style and touch in the games they make. Using a asset for something vital to the experience just feels like it gets rid of that uniqueness simply because anyone can grab and use it in their games. besides that i dont really have a problem with it.

He said it was just a filler model but it became so iconic that he is not sure if he should change it
