I hope it won't be as boring as the dark knight.
Not one second was insigificant to the story :smug:
Superman is too powerful. He has like every superpower. It makes him boring to watch.
I addressed this a page back, albeit with a longer explanation.
But yeah.
The original superman movie was great.
Proves not much action is needed to pull of an absolutely fantastic superhero movie.
He isn't exactly "choosing" the Director. He'll recommend someone on that list to Warner Brothers.
yea whoever he "recommends" they will offer them the highest pay if the accept of course unless they think one of the others will do better or equal and accept less
Who will be Superman?
The previous one was good, but pretty much a gimmick of the original.

Another name for the list (assuming this article is at all accurate)
David Aronofsky. That could be awesome.
Duncan Scott.
Fucking loved Moon.
Make it about the death of superman and you have an instant breakthrough in comic film.
The man who did The Dark Knight has a hand pick at these directors. Who would you pick?
Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code),
Jonathan Liebesman (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Battle: Los Angeles and just-signed for Clash of the Titans 2),
Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In),
Tony Scott (True Romance, Unstoppable),
Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300)

Make it about the death of superman and you have an instant breakthrough in comic film.
They'll probably do a reboot. Like Batman.
Make it about the death of superman and you have an instant breakthrough in comic film.
That might just work out but it would be in the 3rd film though if it gets that far
Zach.
Just an opinion.
If they do a reboot, for the love of god don't have Superman turn back time or anything stupid like that. Hated that in the first.
If they do a reboot, for the love of god don't have Superman turn back time or anything stupid like that. Hated that in the first.
I thought it was quite awesome :v:
Tell me one movie that can viably turn back time in such a way.
Superman as a character has never interested me, if one of these directors can make me care about this film I'll be impressed.
They should all be superman
Finally something that'll make up for superman returns. That shit was seriously Superman 64: the movie.
I would rather watch Superman 4 The Quest For Peace than Superman Returns :3:
I thought it was alright tbh
I thought it was alright tbh
It was a good movie. But I stand by my point.
Its just not likeable enough.
ok Matt Damon was on 30 Rock and your point is?
and just cuz he made a cameo doesnt mean it isnt a spinoff the story doesnt even follow DC Comics almost at all its just like the 90s one called Clark Kent or Superman or whatever
its was called Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman
(as a 90s kid, i used to love watching that show)
Also, Snyder is best fit for this movie IMO.
I kinda liked both 300 and Watchmen.
The director has been decided by the way
It's Zack Snyder. meh

how about nobody because superman sucks and the franchise should fucking die already
just my opinion - I know that will never happen because it's far too big a moneypot to just abandon
how about nobody because superman sucks and the franchise should fucking die already
"Hi I've never read a superman comic and I base my entire opinion on parodys and equally clueless people"
I think we need a Zack Snyder Superman movie. If anyone can bring the god like mythology of superman together with the action todays generation wants. It would be him. He is a bit A.D.D with his directing though. It could go either way.
"Hi I've never read a superman comic and I base my entire opinion on parodys and equally clueless people"
I've never read a batman or spiderman or watchmen comic and I like those
you have absolutely no idea why I don't like superman so you have no grounds to base your accusations on
be quiet darling
Superman doesn't suck its the fact that noone has really given him a proper shot, superman returns should have been a reboot but was instead more of a tribute to the old movies, anyone who's read a superman comic or graphic novel properly know's that its possible to make a good superman film with the right director cast and crew lets hope Zach Snyder emulates more of the superman from the comics and novels rather than the older movies this time around.
Kalibos you've stated your opinion but now are bashing other people for they're own if you're not a fan of superman and or care about what happens with him why bother commenting?
i can name plenty of novels and comic series of superman to give you a taste of what he is actually like, people make the mistake of thinking superman is very camp and cheesy because all they have seen is the Reeve's movies ( Superman Returns also camp and cheezy in places )
who have I bashed
and, because I can
[editline]08:24PM[/editline]
again, you have no idea why I dislike superman so your attempts to convince me that he's not <what you think I think he is> make no sense
Then why don't you explain.
don't want to nor am I obligated to
