I can't wait for more of that meme magic to come out during the debate. We should all take a drink if Pepe gets name dropped.
Say about Johnson what you will, but 7.2% of the popular vote, but only 0.3 (basically most likey getting 0) electoral votes, yeah, he should have 7.2% of the electoral votes then, but no, he doesn't
I can't wait for more of that meme magic to come out during the debate. We should all weep for humanity if Pepe gets name dropped.
Fixed that for you. That's what I'm going to do.
Fixed that for you. That's what I'm going to do.
Well, the rest of the election has already taken care of that. This may be the "darkest timeline" as people like to say, but at least the debate will give us a few laughs to temporarily distract us from the reality of how godawful and terrible this election is.

There are 538, so 7.2% = 38 [editline]26th September 2016[/editline] Or wait, did you just typo the % sign?
Sorry, meant % not 7.2 in total
hillary would have better luck trying to trick trump into accidentally saying something smart
Man I sure do hope Clinton prepared well for this and will dominate. I don't like the world where Trump is the president, even less so where Pence will actually all that presidential work while Trump goes on vacations.
The thought of Trump dying in office and Pence becoming president scares me greatly as a member of the LGBT community.
Even without that it's already as scary. Remember offer Trump gave to Kasich? Yeah, there's a pretty good reason to assume Trump will only take the title of president while Pence will do all the work.
I could never have an ounce of sympathy for Pence in any context.
Well if he suffers from some inhumane torture, then I would.
This is a really interesting article on Clinton's debate prep, though it doesn't help her 'expectation gap' because she's clearly been going all-out to prepare for this thing. http://edition.cnn.com/2016/09/26/politics/hillary-clinton-debate-prep-strategy/ Apparently Clinton has primarily been preparing for a 'presidential Trump' rather than a balls-out crazy one, but she has spent time on both
Its incredible that she has to seriously prepare to debate one of two distinct personalities. This is going to be amazing.
The thought of Trump dying in office and Pence becoming president scares me greatly as a member of the LGBT community.
this is my biggest, really my only, factor in voting for clinton. i don't like her, but pence will actively attempt to attack me, and trump will let him. that can't be allowed
I can't wait for more of that meme magic to come out during the debate. We should all take a drink if Pepe gets name dropped.
A drink would be a bit too mild, it should be ''down the entire bottle'' at least.
A year ago, if you had told me Donald Trump would be on stage debating with Hillary Clinton for the Presidency, I would have fucking laughed in your face. I really can't believe this is happening. I can't believe almost half this country thinks Donald Trump is worth supporting. It's like an actual, real nightmare.
How the debate will actually go down
How the debate will actually go down
Oh God it would be hilarious if Hillary goes full on high energy angry grandma scolding Trump whole night and Trump not able to respond at all.
How the debate will actually go down
Vic and Super Deluxe are the only consolation prizes for this fucked up election
Oh God it would be hilarious if Hillary goes full on high energy angry grandma scolding Trump whole night and Trump not able to respond at all.
Hillary going ape shit is possible, but I don't see Trump going silent :v: They'd both end up screaming at each other
Oh God it would be hilarious if Hillary goes full on high energy angry grandma scolding Trump whole night and Trump not able to respond at all.
Hillary going full angry grandma would be the worst course of action for her I'd imagine.
If Hillary goes angry grandma I think she could totally beat Trump in the debate, but if you have to stoop to Trump's tactics then who really won? Also to Raidyr's point, fact-checking is the job of your opponent, not the moderators. I would give an exception to things dealing with current events. If one candidate spews bs the other candidate should call them out on it.
I can just picture this being the ultimate shitfest. How important is this debate in terms of the campaign? Is this a small thing or a "make or break" thing?
Given Trumps past experience at "debating" I'm pretty sure Hillary has this in the bag so long as the moderator doesn't allow that orange alien to shout over her the entire debate.
I can just picture this being the ultimate shitfest. How important is this debate in terms of the campaign? Is this a small thing or a "make or break" thing?
The televised debate has a lot of sway over American viewers. The first televised presidential debate between Kennedy and Nixon is considered to have contributed greatly to JFK's election.
I just want them both to tear each other to shreds. Is that too much to ask? That they both destroy each other's credibility and candidacy in 90 minutes so that we may have the possibility of saner options to pick from?
The Republican debates convinced me that the moderators need to shut off the speaker's mic when their time is up.
The televised debate has a lot of sway over American viewers. Hope it goes well for hillary in that case, maybe someone can "accidentally" cut Trump's mic half way through. :v:
Also to Raidyr's point, fact-checking is the job of your opponent, not the moderators. I would give an exception to things dealing with current events. If one candidate spews bs the other candidate should call them out on it.
That wasn't my point. That's like the opposite of my point. Moderators should absolutely fact-check. 70% of Americans don't trust the media because they don't do their job and hold politicians feet to the fire. It's a fucking joke that the Clinton campaign and nearly everyone else other than the Trump campaign and his supporters want the debates to be fact checked. You're literally telling the world that you want your candidate to get away with lying.
