Here is to hoping for Clinton to be at 60%+ now...
criticized him on what, lester just sat there.
Pushing on the Birther movement - that's the only real occasion Lester did anything
Like it or not, the USA is such a power that it's politics are important to other nations as well. Though it's sad that many Americans couldn't care less.
maybe it's because americans simply arent happy with their choices and no matter what clinton's going to get the presidency and continue the status quo of the same old bullshit. on the offhand that trump wins americans at least get to see something different even if its just... fire. all the time. when it comes to the election, our leaders and what happens to us we know we're so deep in the shit that it only takes things like NSA agents going rogue and going public for the shit things happening to the american people to actually change for the better.
That's kind of the point I was trying to make.
I don't think the reaction general Facepunch users have to this debate will be very representative of the US public.
Than the US public is fuckin' retarded because that was an absolute slaughter by any objective measure.
Pushing on the Birther movement - that's the only real occasion Lester did anything
Iraq War somewhat as well
Like I expected it but...I didn't. How can one man be so fucking bad?
Hillary was pretty bad but at least she made some actual points, Trump just killed himself with his incoherent rambling.
Hilary wiped the floor with Trump.
He came across like an underprepared teenager trying to bullshit his teacher at a book report.
He had a few good jabs but the rest was so completely subpar that I'm actually impressed. I've always thought Clinton was an uncharismatic and poor orator, but she blew him away.
The only card he even used was the emails one.
I expect Trump to criticise the moderator - he only really pressed Trump
That's because Clinton actually answered his questions while Trump evaded a huge amount of questions
That was a weird debate, like a loudspeaker aimed at a broken record player. I hope the next two are more engaging. I wonder how the utterly-meaningless VP debate will go.
See you in the next debate.
Should we do discord chat next time y/n?
Also I sense that the moderator will never get another job as a debate moderator, he was pretty terrible. He needed to take control.
Than the US public is fuckin' retarded because that was an absolute slaughter by any objective measure.
I mean Trump is still in the presidential debates at all, so you're not wrong about the public being fucking retarded
See you in the next debate.

Its more entertaining on a thread.
That's because Clinton actually answered his questions while Trump evaded a huge amount of questions
I know but it won't stop Trump criticising him though
The only card he even used was the emails one.
And it was hilariously ineffective and brought up when he was asked about his tax returns. When Clinton brought it back on topic he described not paying his fair share as "smart".
Dicks out for Trump tonight, never forget

jesus that was huge, pls no ban.
Trump won moderates because of early domination and manufacturing discussion before most people changed channel. Hillary won the entire debate on points as Don became unhinged over time.
Except he tried his hardest to say trickle down economics would work
Iraq War somewhat as well
You're wrong
You should have seen Trump's face when the debate was over.
Utter despair.
I got the jist from the faces people posted
(Not gonna lie, until the votes are in, I'm still gonna be scared about a potential Trump presidency- I've got too much in life not to. Here's hoping all future debates go as good as today's did)
the damage control is already pouring in http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/09/26/lester-holt-candy-crowley-moment-first-debate/
He should've brought up the deplorables comment
I mean I guess I'm not really totally impartial, but I'd like to think I'm at least a little more unbiased than most of the people who have been posting about Hillary v. Donald for the past few months, and it seemed like (to me at least, I guess we will see polls tomorrow) that it is one of those things you can look at from both angles and see that view as winning. I'm not sure I could comfortably call Trump the victor, or vice versa.
There were a lot of things in the debate you could call slam-downs by Hillary, some you could say were hard hits by Trump, if that makes any sense, plenty of blunders, etc.
I think it mostly depends on what YOU wanted to see out of it, if you catch my meaning. I have a FB feed full of TRUMP KILLS CLINTON by my very conservative pals, Reddit/FP are filled with HILLARY STUMPS TRUMP!, etc. Pretty much fell exactly like how I thought it would, all things considered.
Everyone wants to taught it as their guy (or gal) winning, which isn't very surprising.
That was a weird debate, like a loudspeaker aimed at a broken record player. I hope the next two are more engaging. I wonder how the utterly-meaningless VP debate will go.
If the broken record player is Trump saying "Wrong" and "I didn't say that" and "We are losing" yeah sure maybe, Clinton did pretty well.
I think Pence is far better at speaking than Kaine but I thought Trump was going to win this debate and look what fucking happened.
At one point during the debate Trump said Patti Solis Doyle once said some shit (don't remember what it was?)
Anyway she is on CNN right now, just said she didn't say that, it immediately cut to Trump being asked 'hey she says you lied'
I can't imagine being that blinded by partisan politics to not see how badly Trump performed this debate.
Out of 90 minutes Clinton had a handful of questionable lines but nearly everything Trump said was either an outright lie or objectionable. He constantly interrupted and had no decorum. His biggest attacks against Clinton were reversed and he fell for every trap she set.
I've never seen a presidential debate this one sided.
I agree, and i saw so many opportunities for him to do just as well against her as she did him, but he never took any of them, or only half pressed what was a sure fire hit.
She put him on tilt and he stayed there, that was pathetic.
Oh my god they just had to cut off a Trump supporter on the C-Span stream because he started screaming "Clinton is dressed in RED LIKE THE BLOOD OF-"

I was pleasantly surprised to find this was actually a word. Donald has an intriguing vocabulary.
Trump just denied that he admitted to not paying taxes to a reporter interviewing him.
