Or maybe we are trying to be rational unlike how you have been acting this entire election period. Frankly you have been extremely snarky to anyone that dares mention anything that your disagree with regarding this election. Just because I am suggesting that Facepunch isn't a good representation of the US doesn't mean it's some political conspiracy on my end. Facepunch also had it's live thread on Brexit and we all know how that turned out.
I'm being absolutely rational about it. You want snark? Yeah no shit that people on the left would claim Clinton won and people on the right will claim Trump won. Some great fucking detective work there. That doesn't matter. What you have to worry about after a debate is how the press is going to sell your image and Trump handed the media so much to play with while Clinton rebuffed the handful of attacks Trump launched against her. He said many statements that are easily fact-checked and turned out to be false while Clinton stayed on point and made few (any?) errors. She made a couple questionable statements but they were rapidly buried under Trumps rants. Other than that, his appearance was also far worse than Clinton. He constantly interrupted her, talked over the moderator (both did this but Trump much more so) and generally seemed less presidential. Oh but no I'm sure Facepunch, known for it's love of Hillary fucking Clinton, completely missed the Nimble Navigator playing eleventh-dimensional Jenga with Shillary.
sorry, we Americans have to practice a lot of self-restraint to manage that
I need to chew my own tongue to keep myself from clapping uproariously every five minutes
Didn't catch much of the debate, most of what I saw was Trump being kind of annoying in all honesty. Question for Facepunchers who supported Trump before the debate, what's your opinion on him now?
opinion is lowered because it seems like he just collapsed thanks to not preparing he got destroyed. there were chances for him to attack and he just missed them
He really schooled her on economics in the start, but then as it went on he really did awful. I'd say it's about equal, Trump's highs were higher, and his lows were lower.
Please go into detail on how trump did "better" edit: or how its equal
Posting my question for new page cause I'm kind of curious.
No-ones going to stick their head above the parapet after that debate
i'm certainly glad i didn't play the drinking game. i'm not sure there's enough alcohol in the house to have kept up with that shitfest.

I really hope that people at least think about their opinions after this. I hope they're not super delusional and say he won 100%.
I'm not a fan of Hillary, but after tonight, she'd have otherwise very easily had my vote had it not been for the bad precedents she set in reaching her position as the Democratic candidate, such as her collusion with DWS and the DNC against Bernie, as well as her attempts to interfere with discourse through nonsense like Correct The Record. She did a great job at being composed, actually talking policy, calling out Trump's idiotic nonsense, etc - and don't get me started on what a trainwreck Trump was. However, it still feels wrong and concerning to enable the DNC's own corruption because of complacency and their callousness due to not being Trump. I'm afraid of the precedent that it will set for future Democratic candidates who will also think it is okay and completely acceptable to get away with stuff like this. If they had just played it fair, I'd vote for Clinton in a heartbeat after tonight and would have otherwise gotten over Clinton not being the ideal candidate because of her strong preference towards catering to special interests and corporations over normal people.
He really schooled her on economics in the start, but then as it went on he really did awful. I'd say it's about equal, Trump's highs were higher, and his lows were lower.
He said a lot of stuff about companies leaving and not much else. I'm not sure that's a victory for economics, although I will agree he was more controlled at the start but quickly started to get wrose.
Top thread on /pol/ "WE'RE BEING RAIDED BY SHILLS" It's like a fine wine.
It's not nice to make fun of those who are mentally handicapped, you should know better.

All I said is that Facepunch probably won't be representational, as in the instance of Brexit.

I guess it's true that the mainstream media lies, cus CNN's poll has been 'minutes away' for nearly an hour now
I heard a lot of wind-bag things from Hilary, a few actual plans from Trump, and in the end most of the time was spent jaw-jacking about "we need to do this" and not much "this is how we'll do it" from either. I dunno, I'm probably going to vote Trump still. The 2 most useless questions of the debate, though.. asking about the Obama birth certificate and asking about the "presidential look". Why?? Absolutely didn't matter. And then right after the debate the reporters jumped right back into the Obama birth certificate debate. Does anyone actually give a fuck? I didn't heard much about those emails...
I guess it's true that the mainstream media lies, cus CNN's poll has been 'minutes away' for nearly an hour now
The people in that poll are still recovering from the mess that was the debate
Didn't catch much of the debate, most of what I saw was Trump being kind of annoying in all honesty. Question for Facepunchers who supported Trump before the debate, what's your opinion on him now?
Same as how I have felt since the start. I'd prefer Trump to win simply because I'm a Republican voter, and I'm a Republican mainly because I find several Democrat policies to be silly. If you are in my position as a gun rights advocate, advocate of better funding for US Border Patrol, and pushing companies to keep business in the United States, you will find yourself being forced to vote Republican. It's pretty much impossible to vote in this two party system outside of your own self-interest.
Looks like some Jill Stein protesters are out of the window behind Anderson Cooper, waving signs and stuff

Because Trump doesn't care about you or your policies. He cares only about himself like the egomaniac he is.
Does anyone actually give a fuck? I didn't heard much about those emails...
Because Trump dropped the email bomb after being asked why he hadn't released his tax returns and after lying about the audit and Clinton took it on the cheek and turned the topic back to the tax returns. But no vote for your boy Donald "Not paying taxes is smart" Trump. I'm sure he is looking out for you.
Some people here say that Trump beat Hillary in the discussion on economy, but check out NPR's fact-checking transcript - he lied, she didn't.
I guess it's true that the mainstream media lies, cus CNN's poll has been 'minutes away' for nearly an hour now
Technically the heat death of the universe is minutes away, its just many minutes away
NPR has an absolutely fantastic, fact-checked, annotated transcript. Make sure to check it out, even if it's just to skim it. http://www.npr.org/2016/09/26/495115346/fact-check-first-presidential-debate?utm_campaign=storyshare&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social
Mm. Not so sure about this.

You look at what China is doing for country in terms of making our product, they're devaluing their currency and there's nobody in our government to fight them.
Obama has brokered an agreement with Chinese President Xi to reduce hacking, and IP theft — and cybersecurity experts who monitor intrusions from China say that attacks are in fact down.
The subject of the quote was currency manipulation. Cybersecurity is a problem, yes, but it has absolutely nothing to do with fact-checking the quote.

Thousands of jobs leaving Michigan, leaving Ohio, they’re all leaving.
Unemployment in Michigan is 4.5 percent; Ohio rate is 4.7 percent. Both are better than the national average of 4.9 percent.
I'm sure those are valid statistics, but again, this has nothing to do with the quote. The thousands of people who lose their jobs probably either found new ones or were statistically shuffled into the BoL's unemployed "employed" number, as they often are.

Our energy policies are disaster. Our country is losing so much in terms of energy, in terms of paying off our debt.
Domestic oil and gas production have increased steadily during President Obama’s time in office. The U.S. has been the world’s leading producer of natural gas since 2011 and the top producer of oil since 2013.
This misses the point entirely, it being that shutting out fossil fuels destroys vast numbers of specialized jobs and a large source of tax revenue that is difficult to replace with "green" energy sources. Also, the 2013 oil boom was due to the Democrats' failure to prevent the start of domestic fracking; not something I would chalk up to the Obama administration. I could go over the whole transcript but it's mostly the same thing; most of Hillary's lines are criticized pretty evenly while Trump's are often improperly interpreted. This might be because Trump doesn't organize his speech very well or the fact-checking was done very hastily, but NPR has a habit of doing this. They treated Mitt the same way in 2012. I like NPR but I recognize they have a liberal bias, at least where I am.
Because Trump dropped the email bomb after being asked why he hadn't released his tax returns and after lying about the audit and Clinton took it on the cheek and turned the topic back to the tax returns. But no vote for your boy Donald "Not paying taxes is smart" Trump.
In your case, don't vote. Just my two cents. Because Trump doesn't care about you or your policies. He cares only about himself like the egomaniac he is.
I'm going to vote, because not voting is letting another 8 years of constant aggravation for most of my beliefs. Not to mention, I'm still going to vote locally.
I really hope that people at least think about their opinions after this. I hope they're not super delusional and say he won 100%.
"Super delusional" is how I would describe trump supporters
Yeah, you're probably pretty darn right in saying that Facepunch is not exactly a balanced intersection of the American public -- not the least of which is because we're an international forum. This forum tends to lean left. [editline]26th September 2016[/editline] I think that Trump's biggest gaffe tonight was just refusing to stop bringing up his "stop and frisk" plan, even after the moderator told him it was ruled unconstitutional and was basically a non-starter.
can't let that hugbox fall apart
If for nothing else, one reason I want to see Hillary win is to watch those cockroaches fumble and scream over reality setting in.
Come the fuck on I'm only staying awake so I can see these damn debate poll numbers
