People need to realize not everything can be fixed and/or prevented during development. Would you rather go back to the pre-patch era? Where if your game was completely broken, the only thing you could do was deal with it?

As I said, we're doing beta testing now, and we're paying for it. Either you release a READY TO PLAY product or you work on it until it's ready. This is how it works now: "we gonna release at 11.09" -> beta testing starts by customers who bought the game, it's unplayable for many -> "lawl we gonna release a patch some day" -> a week later the game is finally playable and released for real.
Do the public beta test and push the release date to the point when you can release a WORKING game. Simple.

Half life 2 episodes are like 5-10 bucks. Not 60. The Halflife series is also singleplayer, and it takes them more than two years to pump out a game, which means they practically perfect the game, unlike The CoD franchise, which they just kick it out into the public.

I played MW2 in the beginning, it was fun but the storyline was really cheesy and the MP had unbalanced weapons like the Model 1881's and the insane akimbo G12.
I was really against buying BO cause I thought it would be exactly the same thing as WaW, which had a great SP but a rather pathetic MP, but when I bought it and played it, it felt like a completely different thing, the MP is very balanced, haven't noticed any OP weapons at all and the SP is once again, great. The only thing I frown upon is the campers in FFA..
Worst CoD ever.
Face it, they won't fix most of this stuff, they're gonna still keep on releasing their games on PC but won't give any support since the console market for their new COD games is just way bigger.
