Everyone's nitpicking it to death and being anal as possible about it. If this game came out first, and DA2 and Origins hadn't been made yet, Everyone would be gagging on Bioware's dick for more more more. It's a good game and even if you think it isn't, it's certainly better than 95% of the shit we've got in the past 2 years
no people wouldnt be gagging at biowares dick for more, it would be the exact same situation, hell probably worse because it would be such an embarrassing first edition to a new series.
This is a great game IMO and brings in a lot of elements people have been begging for in the ME series. The game has a few bad moments but all the good things it has far out weighs them. Give me boxes all you want but if you're gonna let the hivemind alone determine whether or not you're gonna play the game then you're missing out.
I'm just going to wait for it to go on sale, it looks okay but not at full price.
It's like Bioware Forums and any website filled with "PC MASTERACE" types just seem to want to hate a really good game.
The only complaints I heard from people that have actually gone into it with an open mind are the controls are dodgy (which Bioware plan to fix in a patch), the AI teammates are dodgey (which Bioware also claims is a bug that will be patched) and the complaint that pops up the most is it's overwhelming with so much to do.
That's one hell of a contradiction if even the Bioware Forums, who will rabidly love any Bioware game, hate Inquisition. Bioware must have done something immensely bad if even they don't like it.
I liked DA:O at that's reason enough for me to at least give DA:I a looksee, but after reading this thread briefly I feel like I'm going to have to wait a few months for the bullshit to settle and actually get a well formulated opinion on the games merits and failings and whether it's worth buying. I really, relaly feel like there's a lot of people here losing objectivity because they have an overextended anger about DA2 that is bleeding into their opinion of DA:I

same, I made the mistake of buy Borderlands the pre sequel.. definitely not a game worth it's full price, but definitely something lower.
Just noticed Sera's STATIC hair clips through her STATIC ears. People got paid to make that, let that sink in for a moment.

Wait, really? Definitely not getting this now.
Her hair isn't even static in my game. Might be be a setting.
You can enjoy something that's objectively bad.
You can hate something that's objectively good.
For example, I fucking love Hydrophobia: Prophecy. It's a terrible game, but something about it I just really enjoy. I fully acknowledge that it's a bad game, but I enjoy it nonetheless.
Similarly, I dislike Silent Hill 2. It just didn't have the level of intensity and gore that SH1 and 3 did, and I didn't like the sedentary rusty aesthetic as much as the full on blood-gore glory of SH3. It's a great game for a ton of reasons, but I personally dislike it.
tl;dr
Just cause the game is bad doesn't mean you can't like it, and vice versa.
it's still objectively bad regardless of how much anyone denies or likes it, but yeah I do agree of course. They just have to understand the issues exist, Especially when the issues are so obvious, like in DA:I :v:

The graphics in the video are cranked way down. Likely the physics are disabled on lower settings.

The objective flaws in the game are far outweighed by the objective strengths. I won't say they don't exist, but to say they're significant enough to make the game bad is blowing them out of proportion.
