i think this is a bit of generlisation im "indie" as you may say but im a little different in the way that ill keep liking a band even if shittons of others like them as well :smile:
OP wants attention for being "Edgy" or "Different" because he plays games.
This is sadly a very unrealistic way of getting attention, from what I can tell the primary goal of people wanting attention is such a way they will go anti-society, they become goths/emos and talk about how they aren't going to "conform" or "Try to fit in with society because they are rejects" when they clearly are not and just need a firm talking to by their parents that they are not special and how this is just a phase they will eventually grow out of.
