Made some filet mignon pepper steaks with potato mash and wine sauce. Best meal in months oh my god
Fillet steak is my favourite cut of meat, especially with a peppercorn sauce.
Enjoyed some beef stroganov, very easy recipe and delicious.
[t]http://365foods.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/peanut-butter-and-pickle-sandwich.jpg[/t] [editline]13th November 2012[/editline] surprisingly tasty
Fried calamari from work. I enjoyed it, but I don't really eat deep fried food so it made me feel a little sick.
I made nanchos and had a fuckin nancho party. They were quite nice.
Chili con carne served in taco's and additional spicing with Tabasco's smokey Chipotle sauce.
Chips and hummus. I should try making hummus sometime. As well as I would like to make teriyaki chicken sometime.
I was haggled into buying the Two Pound Burger from a local bar. It's two pounds of actual beef but another three pounds of everything else. It came with rules:
1: You have to eat it all 2: You have one hour to eat it, otherwise you are put on the Wall of Shame 3: You puke, you lose, you also clean the mess up
It's a monster. Ended up getting 3/4 through it before the layers of sourdough got to me and I got totally turned off by the bottom patty being partly uncooked. Also ended up fucking up my gums around one of my wizdom teeth while trying to eat the bun. Have to chew with one side of the mouth for a while until it heals. With the exception of the uncooked beef (we just got over a massive e-coli outbreak here so they should at least be double checking that they're cooking it completely) and that if both my legs were hollow I would of made the time limit I totally approve of the burger which costs $25.
Some idiot had the idea of putting food colouring into rice for our host meal. This was the result
looks like pandan rice
Coconut rice. Rice was suppose to be this
Coconut rice. Rice was suppose to be this
The rice for this is sometimes green due to use of pandan leaves for their fragrance Adding food coloring for no reason is a bit weird though

Had a delicious entrecôte with homemade mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes and steamed carrots. Also baked together with some garlic butter and shallots. Now that was a good piece of meat, I tell you.

The last thing I had? Some chips. Not that great. Did have an excellent Reuben earlier today. Something like a quarter pound of corned beef, a good amount of sauerkraut, and enough dressing to drown a small village. It was delicious.
Cooked a bullet steak yesterday, never tried it before but it was pretty good. It's a cheap cut of meat that resembles a fillet steak, Morrison's are promoting them. I cooked it with some caramelised onions, grilled tomatoes and boiled new potatoes in butter, was delicious!
Ah, Hanukkah. The holiday of candles, oil, donuts, and being a fat shit One of the best holidays in the Jewish department, solely due to the food. My mom taught me how to make Sfinge; I had the brilliant idea of covering them in chocolate. The result is probably the best pastry I have had in my entire life: [t]http://puu.sh/1yyZu[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/1yz1D[/t] I had to limit myself to 2. We made so many, we had to give it out to whatever neighbor is home.
last thing I ate was a cupcake from RGV Cupcake factory. The shop that won cupcake wars. They are delicious! I go twice a week to their shop.
Mum made some stuffed pumpkin for dinner; cooked gourd and mince goes well together, that much I can say.
The last thing I ate... A Gingerbread cupcake from a local bakery/restaurant. It was fantastic. Gingerbread cake, Buttercream and Gingerbread icing, sprinkled with Gingerbread, with a Gingerbread Man on top.
Fishsticks wrapped in bacon & mashed potatoes. Not a culinary feat of any sort but surprisingly tasty with proper seasoning, cheap too.
Holy shit. Was hungry and bored, so I made a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich. But I mixed a bit of vanilla extract into the peanutbutter. Seriously do that right now.
I wanted to try sous vide, so I decided to practice on a steak today. I used a cheap, pretty thin ribeye, so it wasn't spectacular, but next time I'll use something different and nicer. I have heard sous vide doesn't really benefit steaks, just makes them easier to get the correct temperature. I'm pretty decent at cooking steaks as it is, so I don't think I'll do it again.
Next time, mix melted chocolate chips into it. Or honey. Or nutmeg. Or anything that sounds delicious.
Yeah man I've done honey before, I love it! Thanks though, soon enough I'll be on a quest to make the greatest peanutbutter and jelly sandwich the world has ever seen.
Hey guys, I felt this was the most appropriate place on the forum to ask, I've always been an ultra fussy eater growing up and recently I've decided to change it and have a more healthy diet! My problem however, is that I can't eat salads/greens. The second I put some in my mouth the texture and smell make me gag and retch. So I wondered if you guys would have any suggestions? Ways i can more slowly introduce myself to salads or just different ways of preparing them?

You could also try make some stronger dressings to go with the salad, which can really help if you detest the smell or taste. I'd recommend either something very lemony or something with a lot of spice.
