Beef with pea pods and water chestnuts in brown sauce over rice.
Pretty great, if a tad mild.
Always hated poach eggs with hollandaise sauce. Its like eating egg with egg
I just made some walmart snickerdoodle stuff my grandma gave me. It was free, and required no preparation, and I was like, "how bad could it be?"
I had to overcook it to get the centers to stiffen up, and it was the greasiest dough I have ever worked with. Never again. Oh and they taste like gingersnaps.
poached my first egg!

i overcooked it a bit, so it was more like a soft boiled egg, but i was very happy with the shape
how did you poach it? Did you spin the water or just leave it? Did you add vinegar/salt? I'm having trouble forming mine into balls, it might be down to the fact my eggs are not fresh.

Did you drop them really slowly into the water?

got these from big lots
clears my sinuses and feels like a kick in the face
Made my first grilled cheese with bacon, got a brand new grilling pan to do it :v:
So GOOD

span the water, no vinegar or salt, cracked it right into the water and that was that
Roasted chicken breasts, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, celery seeds and ginger powder. Chopped up into a chicken salad with mayo, celery, onions, craisins and peanuts. The store was out of walnuts and pre-shelled sunflower seeds. It was good stuff.
I keep my snacks simple, crackers and cheese was the last.
I also really like dipping bread in balsamic/olive oil
I just bit into a sandwich I made this morning, and realized the meat I used was over a month old and had been open for the entire month. After I took a bite and it tasted terrible.
Whoops :v:

First time making American styled chicken soup, the difference was I mixed it with my mothers recipe that uses leeks, garlic and potatoes along with the American recipe.
2 Chicken Deluxe Club, and 1 medium fries from Chick-fil-a, good shit.

After a long Breaking Bad marathon, I decided to make some blue rock candy for my friend and I. It tastes great, and I'm honestly surprised with how well it turned out considering I haven't cooked something in a while.
sandwich with turkey, mayo and red onion
Roasted Chicken, prepared the same as the breasts I made the other day, with instant mashed potatoes and canned sweet corn. Though a pretty hum drum, average meal, it was still quite satisfying.

I made this, it was really good and simple.
I made this with roasted potatoes and asparagus, came out really nice
I had some chocolate chip pancakes with caramel syrup and home made whipped cream. Delicious. :)
Attempted to poach an egg, the white disintegrated upon touching the water, I don't know if it was the eggs quality or the technique
Still came out with a poached egg yolk, so I spread it on some toast and called it a day
Yeah I discovered if you put some clean film in a little dish and put the egg in it, wrap it up and poach it you'll have a better and less messy outcome.
this is how mine looked this morning, these eggs are nearly 10 days old, there's no vinegar in the water, and aside from the tiny floater at the top it kept it's shape perfectly, i just spin the water and crack it straight in

How long did you poach it for?
turned the heat off and left it for somewhere between 7-10 mins. not entirely sure, i wasn't too fussed how it came out, but it was just right however long it was
Sun-Maid Raisin Bread and Philadelphia spreadable cream cheese. I fucking love it. Would eat a month straight. [sp]I've gone a week and a half just eating this snack. I live alone and buy my own food.[/sp]
Just ate 3/4 of a pack of kiwis. I don't know about you guys, but kiwis hurt my mouth.
But it is a good hurt.
I made some drunken mussels. They weren't very good :(
Just goes to show you shouldn't trust seafood that is less than a dollar a pound

There were literally rocks in the bag while I was cleaning them
It's a pretty nice grocery store too, I used to work there
the problem with cheap sea food is things like muscles, scallops, fish etc is its full water or frozen. Some frozen seafood is okay but it loses a lot of flavour imo. I buy frozen prawns when they're on offer and make pasta with prawns.
They were live mussels

I try not to get previously frozen seafood
after seeing this

Velveeta. Because it's 11pm and I need comfort food every now and then ♥
i also felt the need for a big bowl of comfort pasta.
so i made a little simple roux, then added maybe 50g mature cheddar and the same again of some leftover brie and a little black pepper. smoked paprika would have been a delicious addition but unfortunately i've run out. but it was disgustingly good, now i feel a little ill...
Roasted pork loin with cheesy potatoes and sauteed vegetables. Oh and pink lemonade. That shit was good.
