Because I like this topic a lot and don't want it to die so I have to start a new topic then get yelled at because I didn't use search even though I did use search I just couldn't find it.
What would you people do if there was some kind of multiverse related apocalypse that gave different parts of the world characteristics of different universes?
If I wasn't such a weenie, I would totally want to be in the Dragon Age universe.
Or Mass Effect like OP.
Bioware does a good job of immersing you into a game like that.
Fantasy or sci-fi is a more grown up version of pretending to be an astronaut when you were a kid.
I mean, you only have to look at the word fantasy.
A fantasy is a pleasant situation or event that you think about and that you want to happen, especially one that is unlikely to happen.
It's a weird element of the human psyche, but perfectly normal.
I'd love to live in an age where we have FTL travel and stuff like that, or some fantasy world with magic.
I would love that too, but the multiverse theory can't be right.
Because if all universes with all possibilities exist, then there is one where a great evil lord took power
and he has the ability to wipe out all universes and all possibilities that have ever/will exist.
And not only does he have the power to do this, he has already done it.
And he is called the Great Tillywanga.
But in another universe, a hero came along and prevented this from occurring.
Which universe do we believe since they both occurred?
Well, there's an infinite number of universes, and even if you lived forever (Infinite time), I don't think you would be able to take over every universe.
It's like Infinite minus Infinite, the result is Infinity.
