I thought it was to not give them attention.

Ok so I got banned for [URL="https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1585034&p=52873369&viewfull=1#post52873369"]this post[/URL] and I'm really confused about it. I wouldn't post about it here but the guy that banned me locked the appeal thread. I pointed out that people make posts all the time that are just quotes from the article or tweets without getting banned and all I did was add "fuck offfff" after mine because of how dumb the quote was, and he responded with [quote]I would have banned you for not putting anything at all. I think you're missing the point here. Two word posts, especially in PD or SH, do not constitute a proper post.[/quote] so basically that response I made was inconsequential and I was banned solely because of the quote. Here's where it gets really confusing though. They were both the same quote from the article word for word except one is a fake tweet image. I know it's not because of the "fuck offffff" because he already said it would have made no difference. Not trying to start shit or anything I'm just actually wondering if the guy who banned me was unable to see the quoted part of my post for some reason and just thought I only posted "fuck offfff". Are you incapable of reading simple words or something? All you had to do was either wait out the ban or say 'Ok, I understand, I'm sorry' after some refection and boom problem solved

Just asking because I've been noticing quite a few "no we do it that way" incidents when the [I]percepted[/I] majority of the community is disagreeing. I'm fine with the "fuck off idiot" style of guiding the community that has been the staple of Garry's interaction with us for....over a decade...wow. But that comes with two things: - I am not that idiot :buckteeth: - don't pretend that you are all listening and "we can talk about it"

Just as general thing could I request that when people link to NSFW stuff, could there be a rule that they describe why that thing is NSFW? Like sometimes I like seeing funny NSFW content or whatever but not always if it turns out to be a surprise 5 dudes with their dicks out

I really like the subtle texturing on all elements of newnewpunch, it helps it feel a little less sterile I think.
