One thing I don't like about the avatar growth system is that now there's not a decent avatar size standard anymore. Seeing 80x80 and 80x160 avatars was nice because they were consistent: same width, double the height for golds (ignoring mod avatars). Sure 64x64 is currently the default, but as the forums go on and more people start expanding their avatars they're gonna be all over the place. I'm not a fan of the current system in general, but if it absolutely HAS to stay I wish it'd be tweaked to simply grow bigger by set intervals, such as 70x70, 80x80, 80x100, etc. Obviously it'd cost more coins for each next upgrade.

A lot of people put a fair amount of effort into their avatars and suddenly they're no longer usable meaning they have to put more effort into getting a substitute which works with the size allotted.

Thanks for giving Gold Members( of whom the LEAST have bought gold/gmod early versions back in the day ) a few more coins in the transition. Most of us do understand that we are not entitled to anything and that the blokes in the models/mapping/programming and so on sections are probably more useful to you and the community than any of us guys who just...browse around. I just wanted to spell this out because I think most of us THINK it but never say it and thus it sonds as if people are just complaining cuz positive things kinda get taken for granted.

I had a 10 year old alt that used to have at least 12k posts, I guess over the years the post count has been reset enough times that now it's under 200. Merging it only gave me 1 coin :(
