There was a discussion on the fp_read page a while ago and I'm sorry if I missed a definite answer here, but are we bringing that or subscriptions back?

Even before buying goldmember returned, we'd sometimes have more golds active than blues (and safe to say the majority of those got it through time). 'Tis why he's never been fond of megathreads, too. That being said, he did mention thread subscriptions would be coming back, and fp_read in some form or another.

Hey so I just got banned in the new forum for starting a Japanese chat thread for the reason, "English Only". My first question, where does it say English only? My second question is, how about the other threads that aren't in English, i.e. the Norwegian and Swedish thread that are also there? Why haven't those been locked, or the posters been banned? In the old facepunch, it was totally fine to have a Japanese thread. It's common sense. It's an English forum, so the title goes in English. The only exceptions to the English only rule are chat threads for foreign languages. Which probably won't be a thing in the new forum. This really isn't something that needs to be written down.

I was simply making a thread based on what was previously done. So it doesn't seem like common sense to be banned for something that has already been done with no consequences. Edit: So I guess treating the new forum just like the previous forum is a bad idea. Maybe there should be some guidelines on what, and what not to do when migrating to the new forum.

was the garry's mod forum just moved over at the same time as the other stuff? because if so tbh like every new thread is just a dumb and pointless one. "Rami Malek announces he will be ejaculating in my mouth", "I rly like this music video" X4, etc... Of course, if the GMod stuff had been there already, I can see why it would be bannable but right now (not really sure its deserving of a perma, but that's a different argument) all the new sections just seem to be shitpost central.

Considering it was Garry who did the banning on that one, you’ll have to defer to him lol. As we get our powers instated there, chances are we’ll be cleaning things up. I don’t recommend shitposting in the interim though. Might get swept up in a ban as we go through.

The thing is that I really was joking, I prefer the design of OG facepunch but I still think that Newpunch's is alright, at least with the dark theme.

I'm a bit late to the account migration party, but it's done. Unfortunately I only had enough coins to increase my avatar size to 68x68. 69x69 would've been perfect. My new username will be Unkle Dada, which should be similar and different enough to my 10 year old one. For an avatar I've done a beautiful pixel art recreation of Duchamp's 1917 masterpiece [I]Fontaine[/I], with an added stream of piss coming in from the side and falling out of the hole on the bottom.

What happens to users who are banned on this version of the forums but are not on the new version?
