I'd imagine that Steam logins will be a thing eventually. There's been discussion of integrating the Facepunch API with the forums to allow the games to interact with them.

It's just human nature to be resistant to change. Look at what happened each time Facebook changed their layout, everyone flipped their shit about it but carried on using it. I'd wager that most people can't even remember what the old layouts were without looking them up.

Same with Facepunch whenever we changed layouts. Everybody would moan about it but carry on using it all the same. I looked at the approximate stats and our visitors actually increased with each successive layout change.

The main issue I have with the google login is it forces you to use your google account email (which I don't ever use), rather than the alternative email you signed in with, which is one I actually use.
I wouldn't mind so much if I knew if it was possible to change the email later, especially when you move to a different signin method (steam), assuming that's possible.
