"rougelike" should be a bannable offense.
"rougelike" should be a bannable offense.
Are you trying to turn Facepunch into the Dark Souls of forums?
"Rouge One" "Sure they could of" "I think so but. I'm not sure." I admit i often judge users hard for mistakes like these. I used to judge especially hard when their flagdog showed an English-speaking nation, so it being gone is making it easier for me to just be cool about it. [sp]it's "could have!!"[/sp]

...Well that's just style fam. From capitalizing the first letter of a sentence and letting the rest hang loose (as long as it doesn't start a proper noun). It mirrors texting speech, where some phone keyboards automatically capitalize the start of a sentence but are lax about individual i's on their own. More on-topic: I do hope the WYSIWYG editor of Newpunch can still let us view the plaintext. Will everything be 1:1, textbox to post? How will quotes work, if not like now? Manually entering quotes from multiple posts really helps with context, not to mention OPs.

i avoid this by only capitalizing proper nouns [sp]some of the time, when i feel like it[/sp]
Can the mods ban the shitposters in LMAO pics?
Report them and they eventually will get banned?
Can the mods ban the shitposters in LMAO pics?
They can but they have to decide what constitutes a shit post.
Soooo cutthecrap got banned for advocating violence, I understand this, I also understand it was reaction to the ban that got him the perma. But imo there are some situation where violence is the only option left. The discussed situation was peeps taking over a house and squatting there, laws vary country by country but if the law won't help you take back your house with your possessions then what can you do? Talk them out? Pay them money to leave? Be homeless until they leave, at which point they'll inevitably loot it and leave it a tip? Not to say I'd turn to violence myself, I'm a pussy, I don't own a house and I'd rather not put friends in harms way - but I understand entirely why some people might do this. I think Pascal is a v good mod and having a general "don't advocate violence" rule is a good idea but it should be applied case by case rather than a flat application. Is it possible to get the rules reviewed on this?

He was obviously frustrated which made him use a poor choice of words in his post.
LMAO, did you miss this part? "Beat the fuck out of/possibly kill the ones that can't fight back" How is that in anyway acceptable?
lol yeah thats way way way out of line and certainly ban worthy
lol yeah thats way way way out of line and certainly ban worthy
Imo, if he said that where he lives you have to forcefully remove them yourself then that would of been fine, but he said to grab steel rods and use violence. There is a clear line he crossed
Tbh seeing that in connection with "it's a lost case" is a very scary way of thinking. Like, this is the ultimate extremists way of thinking and the ban was very necessary imo.
I was contacted by a mod about my current avatar being inappropriate. Tbh I think that's going to a ridiculous length. There is nothing about my avatar in it's current state that is either pornographic or questionable, yet they believe it goes against the rules. The only reason the mod wants it gone is because they know where it came from, but should that matter? Neither Mods nor users should be hunting for the source for peoples avatars, especially when the avatar doesn't break any rules. I've been in contact with two other moderators, Hezzy and Craptasket, and both have said that it's fine. I asked Hezzy if an avatar is fine if the source is inappropriate/porn but is cropped in a way that makes it completely harmless, and he said that "if it's cropped like that it isn't porn". Craptasket has vetted the avatar as well and said I may use this avatar. Is there a misunderstanding between the mods or are the rules really this anal?
Was a misunderstanding. We’re still getting used to what is/isn’t allowed but it’s been clarified.
Was going to say that has to be a misunderstanding, not being allowed to have a face as an avatar would be a bit ridiculous.

I like it as the rule stands now, because you can't ever see what happens beyond the screen. Someone may actually listen to the people who incite this kind of violence and next thing you know there's been a murder on the news. Or that person trying to commit that act of violence might end up getting hurt themselves. Violence is never the only option left. At the end of the day it's about being safe and alive.

Where we can't moderate ourselves the mods step in and help us.

Somebody made a complaint to a Moderator who investigated and found that the source of your avatar is indeed pornographic. You then contacted me and I explained that it was fine as it wasn't overtly obscene. I have told the Moderators this. Why are you bringing this up days after it happened and was dealt with? Furthermore, why are you phrasing it like it is an ongoing thing? It's nonsense and people can expect to be banned.
Welcome back Asaratha! <3

Though it's my fault that I just aped what he said without knowing myself, and I apologize for that. After this I was sent a PM from a mod telling me that the avatar was inappropriate. After I had been contacted by a mod I contacted you via PM, but you never replied to my message I sent, so I didn't know whether to contact you again or try another mod. So I waited a day and then contacted someone else. Since I never heard anything again I still considered as something ongoing, since the last thing I was told was that it wasn't okay, and I disagreed with that.

Just casually talking about killing people as a necessity, is fucked up.

On the topic of violence, it should go without saying that threats of any kind towards any member will not be tolerated (even if you're "joking")
so on the new forum (https://forum.facepunch.com/f/) is it ok to make an account on it with the email address I have for the account I have on this website? I am asking because when posts and accounts are migrated over, what is going to happen if I have two accounts with the same email address? Which one disappears?

I too think they will be merged, it will make more sense to do that and shouldn't be too hard to do at all. Also welcome back Asaratha!
