Still think the amount of coins given to longterm members was paltry. 1 pixel per coin and you suddenly realise having 130 coins isn't that much.
We've already discussed this on the profile migration page, nothing's been said officially [t]https://tenryuu.blob.core.windows.net/astrid/2018/01/18-01-11_13-00-48.png[/t]
Circle avatar sucks. I’m glad that at some point we can have our gold size avatars back and we can go even bigger but I think we should note that I don’t think all of the posts have been migrated yet. What I think will happen is that anyone with 15K plus posts judging by how the coin Yates works will get close but anyone with 30k+ posts will probably get half way if not 70% to the limit. I’m estimating it so my numbers could be completely wrong but that’s what I can imagine will happen.
So we could be looking at 15-20+ years of activity on Facepunch and dozens of thousands of posts required for a max size avatar? :pyramid:
So the only person able to get back to the gold limits is rusty. Man shitposting really paid off didn't it.
I haven't really been following how the new forums work, do we also get coins over time or just from posts? 30k+ sounds a little ridiculous, you'd have to hit J!NX levels of posting to get any decent avatar upgrade

I got something like 220 coins from migration and only 22 posts have migrated [t]https://imgkk.com/i/y2lh.png[/t]
Hey sorry I was posting a lot of articles, this is the first forum I've really used and got carried away trying to show y'all articles.
If bumping old threads is bannable, why aren't threads considered too old to post in automatically locked?
Because it’s okay to bump something if you have relevant information or something new to share. Most of the time people just necrobump with like a 0 content post though.
:snip: Ninja'd by Pascall.
I presume once all threads have been migrated over to new punch, you’ll be able to have a decent size avatar.
You only get coins for migrating once. The coins you get are according to your postcount here and not on the new forums.
So I don't really know where to ask this. But mapping section for HL2 is already on that ugly, new forum thingy. But i can't login there, there is only google or facebook login (wtf). And then I have to put username... so I need to basically create new accout again? :/

When you have a newpunch account, this link is for merging oldpunch account. https://auth.facepunch.com/legacy/start
You only get coins for migrating once. The coins you get are according to your postcount here and not on the new forums.
I randomly had 30 coins so I don't think that's true.
I randomly had 30 coins so I don't think that's true.
Well things work differently than Garry explained it if that's the case.

Where can I appeal a discord ban? Ban reason doesn't match anything I've done. Can't now check the rule list on Discord to verify myself if the ban is justified.

That's not allowed, don't do that.

If you do this, you will be permanently banned without warning.
Sorry CHUM. Gotta follow rules to be in the cool kids club.
From the server guidelines: Sorry CHUM. Gotta follow rules to be in the cool kids club.
I can understand that being a blanket rule for everyone who messages the dev/mods over rust bans etc, but some discretion maybe? This is all a bit rather silly.
You're making it sillier than it needs to be, tbh. The rule clearly says "under no circumstances". That leaves no room for discretion unless Hezzy decides to change it. And since he has expressed no desire to change it, that's kind of the end of it. There are any number of related FP discords you can join to keep chatting with pals if you so desire. And you're not banned from the forum. You'll be okay, I promise.

Would have enjoying keeping access to it, and would have hoped some more thought would have gone into this situation based on the length of my stay with Facepunch forums, but eh whatever. Will stop shitting up this thread now, question answered. Thanks mods.
How can you get "permission" to contact a mod or staff member if you're not allowed to ask them in the first place?
You can PM a Discord moderator if you want. What's out of the question is using the Discord @ feature to ping all of the staff/moderators at once. Especially for junk that doesn't need the immediate attention of all FP Staff and Moderators. ESPECIALLY since the Staff and Moderators are two different teams that don't usually communicate very often and handle two completely separate things. In short: Leave FP staff alone and PM a mod if you really have an issue with anything besides the fact that your Rust server is broken or something.
