Mice are fine, I think rats are too big though.
They're big for a reason, after all the cats gotta get fat and happy on something.
I use to have a mouse when I was 8, but it died when I had a friend over. You could imagine my embarrasment and sadness that day :(
My cousin had a rat once. She died of tumors a few years back.
The fun thing is that I could replace the word rat in OPs post with the word human and it still would be accurate.

Rats are such loving pets. You can't appreciate them until you've had one :saddowns:
I've never used lethal traps against mice/rats.
One time I heard my garbage bag rustling about so I took it outside only to have a little 2 inch mouse hop out.
Also, I once had a hamster. She was an A+ escape artist. Got a cage that only opened from the top, she'd drag all the bedding to the center in a mound, open the top, and wander the whole house. I once woke up with her on my face... And the cage was on the other side of the house -.-
I hate it when people use traps :smith:
It's really not that expensive to buy some humane poison that won't cause the rat to die in immense pain.
I've never used lethal traps against mice/rats.
Neither have I unless you count a cat as a "lethal trap". He DID kill a rat the day we got him.
Look pet rats are cool and all, the dumbo is the coolest, but wild rats are the most disgusting monsters in earth. You can't compare a domesticated animal and a wild one.
Fancy rats, especially the females, are however the cleanest of rodents.
Well, that's quite an achievement.

That is kind of true. Its like comparing a wolf to a dog. Though I would say a cockroach is even more disgusting than a rat.
Well, that's quite an achievement.
Yeah, I mean, as we all know, rats are all at the pinnacle of cleanliness.
Well, that's quite an achievement.
Yeah, actually. If you consider how popular hamsters and guinea pigs are.
Neither have I unless you count a cat as a "lethal trap". He DID kill a rat the day we got him.
I found a drowned rat in our clogged sink one time, I picked the rat up (wearing latex gloves) and gave it to our cat at the backyard, fucker started eating it from the head to down. :v:
I think rats and mice are cute.
My mom on the other hand flips the fuck out whenever my cat kills one.
dogs are better
I was always told you should have two rats, both female, to keep each other company. I've had two pairs of rats in the past, and they have been some of the loveliest animals I've ever met.
Though I remember I had a pair for a year, and then one died. The other seemed really placid and, well, immobile, that evening. When I woke up, it'd died as well. :smith:
Sounds like maybe they shared a disease of some sort :(
Some rats are known to become so depressed over losing a companion that they will die from the stress. I'm sorry to hear that, man :/
the pet I want is a tortoise
We never got to dissect animals in my Biology class... I'm missing out
In fourth grade, I was in G.A.T.E. and we got to dissect a sheep brain.

I agree rats are awesome
I bought my Rat about a year ago, I let him climb on my knee and all, but I still reckon he's gonna bite me again.
He's already done it twice...
I still fucking hate rats

You study medicine or something similar?
I dunno if this has been said or not, but rats did not cause the plague. Fleas did.
