20 tanks pull up into the middle of a busy city with their cannons pointed as far up as possible and every single shot misses the dinosaurs 100 feet away.
The main character jumps in the way of a bullet for a girl. Shooter dies randomly and the main guy jumps up and says hes fine with a hole in his shirt.
Car going 80 mph in the middle of nowhere, gets blown up by a fireball and tumbles like 6 times. Main guy crawls out of the upside down burning car with some dirt on his shirt and a scratch on his face.
I can go on and on.

Apocalypse Now made perfect sense, you probably couldn't understand it, it wasn't meant for action, it was a drama more than anything about the toils that war can take on even the most "hardened" military men.
Also the ride of the Valkyries scene is one of the best ever.
