So a company that has berated and trod upon its own employees, attempting to ruin their careers even after leaving, and continues to hold onto its IPs whilst shitting out spin-off titles has suddenly decided to sell off/give one of the most prestigious IPs in their collection to an ex-employee whom they've had a pretty public falling out with. A man who could literally go anywhere and do anything upon his exit irregardless of their actions, is bankrolled by Sony and is already knee-deep in a new game that isn't remotely Silent Hills in nature.
The mental gymnastics required to believe that are way, way too ridiculous. If you honestly believe it then don't act surprised if literally nothing comes of it. Remember the whole Chapter 3 shit with MGSV and how 'plausible' it all seemed?
All his recent ruses are video-game related. Moby Dick/TPP and PT were all very direct and within the medium. The Death Stranding stuff in Horizon doesn't count because they'd been working together for some time prior to the game's release and the reveal of Death Stranding.
For this to be a legitimate indicator of a revival would be highly out of character for Kojima especially given it's not remotely cryptic. If he wanted to be blunt he'd have saved it for Game Awards or outright announced it via social media.

I think that's possible, but I have another theory. In a lot of ways, men's value is determined by how successful they are with women. That's why there's so much effort put into attracting women (though you can make the same argument about attracting men). The term 'virgin' is mostly used to disparage men, after all (though a weird guy I'm not friends with anymore tried using it against me). If a man is gay or bi, well, then his value goes down and he's not perceived as "manly." And if a man's not manly, what is he?

Men tend to be very insecure about being disconnected from their masculinity and dominance, and male homosexuality kind of has the capacity of shitting on those principles and transcending a lot of boundaries, which is probably why it is hated so much, it literally and figuratively fucks the stereotypical male hierarchy in the ass.
As a guy I can definitely say there's no "hierarchy". It's literally just normal people and homophobic people. I know plenty of girls who think guys making out and boning is hot but they find girl on girl disgusting.

That's ok, the reason why HL3 is not coming out is because they decided to rename it Death Stranding as well and have actually finished the next three half life games, and from this point on any game suspected to be dead that comes out under extraordinary circumstances will contain Death Stranding in it in one way or another. Dead Space 4 will be named Death Stranding "something" as well.

the simplest explanation is that a lot of the same people worked on both games, hence the similarities. songs and such can also be explained by artists releasing work they've done for the cancelled silent hills
but on the other hand it's fun to pretend that some crazy-ass internal warfare is going on within the company, and there is some big ass conspiracy spanning multiple giant corporations, all just for one video game or something
