When he said it was linear like Crysis 2, it was a big turn off. I hated how linear Crysis 2 was. This game looks incredibly fun though, and I'll have to check it out.
I'm totally picking this up, when he said it was linear like Crysis 2 that made me giddy, because Crysis did a great job of not giving you choice, but giving you the -illusion- of choice. I felt like I was doing things differently each time I played a level, and that's fantastic. Not every game needs to have 200 different paths and things you'll never see unless you play through 20 times, just giving the player the feeling that they're doing things their way is fantastic, and really what the market needs.

But being linear like that in itself isn't wrong.
