I can't find any video for this, but the one scene in The Thing with the jaw-ribcage that rips two hands off.
It's pretty much the one and only scene I saw from the movie and I only realized it was from The Thing when I watched the movie entirely about three or four months ago.
That thing is still fucking terrifying actually
The thing is really fucked up.
I fucked up my friend's sister's childhood with that movie, we forced her to watch it and she was screaming and crying. It was fucking hilarious at first but then she got annoying and we let her go.
Oh and also this classic

I got really sick after watching that scene at 2:50 - 2:59.
I didn't get scared or anything like that, i just got really sick like i ate something really bad and i had to throw up.
Got so sick that i didn't have to go to school for two days. :v:
I guess it will help your fears if i told you that actor was arrested for soliciting a 14-year-old boy to pose for sexually explicit photographs and possession of child pornography.

i would turn off the tv at this scene wait a minute and turn it back on
I was just zapping through the channels, and then I randomly saw this film where some guy was around some electric cables, and then some other guy tossed a bucket of water on him. Seeing the victim shake made me wanna vomit.
Needless to say I was terrified and developed some sort of phobia for electricity.
Don't have the clip, does anyone? From Ren and Stimpy. This scene, where his hands melt and stuff.
The mummy freaked me out so hard.

The part at 3:00.
Yes, it was a deleted scene from the DVD so I would've been older when I saw it, but it was still unexpected for that movie.
and that music just gives me the creeps.
I can't think of anything because when i was little i thought of these horrible things as interesting because i had never seen them before.

Surprised this one wasn't posted yet.
I've only seen the movie once during school in 4th-5th grade, and my teacher skipped this part because she said it was "too scary" for us, and we all complained but didn't see it.
Now that I've actually seen it for the first time, I'm actually surprised how insanely disturbing that scene actually is, it doesn't fit the film at all and doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
Whenever Muldoon got killed in Jurassic Park.

Holy shit, I was talking with aunt about scenes in books or films that scared us enough to still give us chills when we think about them now and this is the exact scene for me.
All I remembered at the time though was that it was from the Mumins.
I don't know what the fuck happened and I still don't know what the fuck happened, but it scared the living shit out of me.

I was about 7 when I saw this, and it came out about 2 years before then. Fucking shit. I wouldn't watch this shit at night, even today
Somehow, CGI is WAY less scary than the old rubber and shit effects.

The "rubber and shit effects" in The Thing were very well made. The fact they are actual existing props used during the shooting and not a green box with CGI stapled over it afterwards is visually recognizable and has a great impact on the movie's atmosphere.

Well that sucked balls in my opinion. The CGI isn't very good and it's trying way too hard to be shocking and disgusting. The original (well, the remake of the original) did it right by keeping transformations short and barely visible. Here you just see way too much of it and most of the stuff the thing does are plain ridiculous attempts from the writes to scare the viewers. Seriously, the whole point of the alien thing is that it takes the most adapted form and uses the most adapted ways to do whatever it wants to do, so why does his face merge with that other guy to drag him away while it could have used one of its many arms to simply grab him by the throat and drag him in a way that takes less time and is much more efficient ?

I will never forgive the makers of the Thing 2011 for thinking it was a good idea to use CGI.
