Or sugar and yeast
why not go all the way and build your own house, sauna and pier? maybe even hang a tire from a tree in the backyard for the children that you'll father because you'll also build a family throughout the game? this game has potential. truly, sibelius and lönnrot are nothing compared to finland's artistic swansong that is the ultimate existential exploration: my summer car
this is beautiful I'm a big fan of the features list: "physics bugs" also goty gta v ain't got shit on this
Imagine if he added a zombie mode. You have to actually find ammo, maintain and repair your weapons physically, and keep your mechanic safe. In the house is a library with books and notes and schematics, with information scattered between so you have to go back and forth, making it take time to get real info for your mechanics/scavengers on how to build the car/where to find supplies. Everybody has a job to do, but its not a video-gamey press x to do your job kind of thing, if you're the researcher you better be literally researching, same with the defense and mechanic jobs.
How do you see zombies going along with this?
I am making this game because this game needs to be made. This is not made because this is fun game, but because it is NOT!

WOOHOO! ZOMBIES! Or, alternatively, no zombies? How about we not petition to destroy an incredibly promising looking game with real atmosphere and borderline philosophical value to it?
I dont think the fact that its a saturated genre detracts from what the general concept would add to the game. I think "shoot slow stuff" is much more fun than vague crafting mechanics. This game is literally the opposite of that, so I thought about what another simple task would be to allow another player into the game. Maybe there aren't people other than the players, but the animals remain in population so someone has to keep his L-15 well oiled in case a wolverine or a bear gets too close. It was just the general idea to add more players to the idea, and to give them a 'job' alongside mechanic. It doesn't have to be literal zombies, or even weapons and defense.

I'm buying this game. This is probably the best game in the history of all games. Modeled down to the straight-cut reverse gear whine. This man is dedicated.
It's much more likely he'll hit a bigass moose while drunk driving at ridiculous speeds down a dirt road.
Funny you should mention that: https://twitter.com/RoyalJohnLove/status/587738929073356800

I watched that video twice, what a lovely accent.
Funny you should mention that: https://twitter.com/RoyalJohnLove/status/587738929073356800
I KNEW it.
The more I learn about this game, the better it sounds. The attention to detail is amazing.
Between this and Yandere Simulator, it's getting hard to pick a GOTY.
This game looks so sick. I can't wait to spend 3 hours painfully putting together my car, then immediately flip it and die. For extra realism drink beer while you play.
Looks like SLRR 2
Looks like SLRR 2
That's only a good thing, well except for the wonky physics and the workshop mode is an ass to you when working on suspension parts of your virtual car.
The most accurate representation of life in the Finnish backwoods i have ever seen perkele/10 keim of the jiör ool jiörs
I actually sorta hope he fleshes the game out a bit more, by adding different cars, maybe being able to build a log cabin/sauna house, and I really hope he adds psilocybe semilanceata for eating.
when this comes out i'd love to get some friends together and spend all night trying to get the damn car to work together while also drinking beer
He forgot to hook up the battery :v:. Also he sounds like he's drinking beer IRL while narrating. I'm definitely buying this though.

Finnish accent is one of the worst and best accents ever
Finnish accent is one of the worst and best accents ever
Ralli inklish. :v:
SO, where can I sponsor this?
Why couldn't I have been born a Finn?
Why couldn't I have been born a Finn?
You don't have to be a Finn to have those same experiences. Just go to Appalachia.
Move out of the way Richard Burns Rally, there's a new sim on the block.
This game needs a pink Lada 1200 with fuzzy dice, black rear windows and a spoiler. Maybe some country cops in Volvo 240/Saab 900s with vodka flasks in their pockets. That would be so early 90s Finland.
this is how i picture the developer
