[editline]06:37AM[/editline] Cookeville
I've lived in Cookeville pretty much all of my life, and have only recently moved to Florida. Did you go to Avery Trace?
That's what you get for being so humid like your neighbor Virginia.
Best of luck to you guys down there.
To live in nashville sucks atm.. !
If Knoxville floods then I will fulfill my ultimate dream....TO RIDE DOWN STREETS IN MY DADS BASSBOAT! /caps
Both me and my brother tried to commute to our respective jobs in Columbia and Centerville. He made it by making a massive detour, but I didn't. The roads are closed, many are completely washed away. Water lines are washed out so they had to cut the water, electricity is out in many places, phone lines are even down in many places.
Don't know if anyone else on FP is experiencing this, but we are having some crazy flooding in Tennessee. It's not really that we're flooding, which we're used to, it's that there is so much and it's flooding places that I've never seen it flood before, like the Interstate. I will try to get some pictures updated soon, but currently my basement has flooded (Which I got under control), a friend of mine had part of his roof blown off and many trees knocked down on top of all the water, my brother has tons of trees down and the creek down below his house looks like a huge river. There's actually been houses and cars and stuff floating down the interstate like a river, it's insane. UPDATE We now have 4 dead in Hickman alone.
Funny thing is I was just in Gatlinburg last week for my dad's wedding. It was raining like a bitch there when we left. Some real strong weather patterns.
That's what you get for being so humid like your neighbor Virginia.
Hey, what are you trying say about us Virginians (though what you are saying is horribly true)? I wonder when all this will pass onto us? It's been hot as a all hell here, and it rained a little last night. But it looks like the sky wants to open up real bad.
These are Hendersonville. I live in Sumner County in Hendersonville, but I live on a hill so I haven't gotten any flooding. My best friends sister got washed off the car she was stranded on though.

To kayak across a baseball and football field just doesn't seem right.
There was a video a trooper took where the water caused a road to collapse on itself. I'll have to find a link for you guys.
There's lots of places in Hickman where the road is basically gone, huge holes and ripped up asphalt where road used to be.
Like all the counties around me flooded. But knox county escaped almost completely unscathed. I am pleased.
How far out does the flooding reach? I've got a friend who just left Tennessee maybe three weeks ago.
