BACK IN MY DAY I wasn't allowed to watch cartoons.. I had to watch them whenever my mom wasn't around on saturday mornings. And we didn't have cable.. So I never got to see a cartoon network show. Just be happy you got to enjoy the "good" shows were around. Honestly, we're not kids anymore, you shouldn't care what the kids nowadays are watching. When they grow up they'll think the shows that they watched were the best. Just be glad the next generation is actually WATCHING cartoons, because they're pretty awesome.
His reaction fits what I was thinking. :v: I swear I've heard "dyke" used during an episode of Adventure Time.
They use the word Crotch on the Regular Show. I also heard a character say "He's gonna be PISSED!"
There were lots of Big Lebowski references in the Powerpuff Girls. What happened to subtle adult appeal rather than this?
The Regular Show makes lots of weird references. In the "Doucheicorns" episode one of the unicorns is the Protagonist/antagonist of A clockwork Orange. The show is pretty bad at times but surprisingly watchable.
The kids in the comments are calling us "90s" kids. Oh fuck, I'm 14 and already being called old :geno:
being born mid-to-late 90's isn't being a 90's kid, that's being a kid born in the 90's. A true "90's kid" grew up through most of the 90's and is at least near or past 20 by now.
If you've never said rad you're not a 90's kid
[img_thumb]http://www.adultswim.com/shows/freaknik-the-musical/img/jumbotrons/freaknik_characters_1024.jpg[/img_thumb]
Freaknick was on Adult Swim. Not the daytime crap.
Does watching reruns in early 00's qualify? I mean they only played reruns (at least here).
no

Everyone in this thread is falling into the same trap older people do when it comes to the 'standards' of television. This can also compared to the recent mess involving 'violent' or 'sexually explicit' videogames. There is no such thing as a perfect childhood, it changes every generation. Imagine the shit your parents had to sit through when you were growing up compared to what they used to do at that age. The moral of the story is that nostalgia clouds your judgement.

But it seems most of our opinions on this are in the same place.
I can tell from your avatar that you're trolling
thats like assuming you are a pedophilliac pervert from your avatar which you probably arent, but thats just his opinion
in response to op's video I must say if I were a child watching this and my mom came in the room this must be awkward as fuck
Pretending human sexuality doesn't exist is reasonable and should definitely be perpetuated. If holding your head underwater isn't logical I don't know what is. Progress. Praise the Lord.
was watching Boomerang and the dexter's lab episode that was musical and about dexter's life came on. my dad watched it for about 5 minutes before saying "This is weird." standing up, and then walking out.
Your point...?
Hell yeah. My avatar is a tribute to that goldmine of a cartoon.
Mine is Samurai Jack At the video: What in the flying fuck.
What happened to the Saturday morning shows? They did a damn good job making real life situations with cursing and stuff turn into a family friendly environment? Like Gomer Pyle and Mchales navy!
What happened to cartoon network man.... I remember the good stuff like courage the cowardly dog, and ed, ed &eddy.

The only channel that has a nickelodeon segment (Russia, don't ask...) planned it so that it ends exactly after I come back from school. Fucking bastards :(. But I catch it in the morning.. Rugrats.. Hey Arnold.. CatDog.. Fuck yeah, best part of the day. Great, you made me nostalgia :(

Just because I'm born in '96 doesn't mean I'm a 90's kid. I'm a 00's kid who was raised on 90's cartoons thanks to my half-brother.
At least he said no.
Someone's gotta travel back in time and show th- Wait, that's a bad idea.
Slightly? uh this is just as bad as *video* The CN clip advertises whatever involving the math I suppose, and a blatantly sexual scene. 'Read a Book', while it suggests reading, also promotes violence and an even more blatant sex suggestion.
Im pretty sure that has never aired on cartoon network.
