i have yet to hear a good reason why twin snakes is bad in comparison to PS1 metal gear solid
With the Twin Snakes, it made MGS1 a little bit lamer. The first person aiming and MGS2 Style Rolling made the game way easier, and for better or worse they re-recorded every line of dialogue (Grey Fox's voice actor was now a white guy with a really fake anime ninja voice). Also the cut-scenes turned into a joke. Actually modeled faces aside, they were directed like really bad matrix rip-offs. Snake was now backflipping away from explosions, backflipping around fights, and at one point backflips over a rocket fired by a helicopter, jumps off the rocket, and then fires his own missile while in the air. It was pretty dumb.

Even their own fucking ideas were handled better by other developers.
oh my god how did i forget
(Grey Fox was now a white guy with a really fake anime ninja voice).
? Greyfox always was kinda anime anyway, and white. I like the MGS1 voice though. [editline]22nd February 2015[/editline] I was going to get mad because I thought he wasn't going to do the Ocelot quote, thank god he put it at the end.

I'll update that one
They're impressive on a mechanical standpoint but work of art may be a bit over the top
[editline]21st February 2015[/editline]
thank god, actual reasons the entire rest of the internet just keeps complaining about how it's not canon because of shit like "meryl's hair color is different"
The general hate for it is a lot like the hate people have for Star Trek: Into Darkness when compared to Wrath of Khan. It didn't feel like Snake in TTS was Snake, just like how Khan in Into Darkness didn't feel like Khan from Wrath of Khan. Snake went from being this guy who uses cunning and intelligence to solve his problems, just like Khan in Star Trek II, to this behemoth guy who's super intelligent and is physically powerful and agile and capable of these incredible feats of acrobatics, kinda like Benjamin Cabbagepatch whatever the fuck Khan.

If anything, Snake is still ridiculous and it's still wildly over-the-top, but it.. 'evens' out the balance in comparison to the both of them if he's supposed to be this badass cloned soldier that killed Big Boss twice and is supposed to be 'superior' to Liquid (despite the fact that he actually isn't, genetically speaking). The cutscene director still had too much of a fetish for fucking flips though.
