if you really want a portable one then I can vouch for the vaporgenie being quite good, although if discretion isn't really an issue I'd just go for a proper vape like a Silver Surfer or a Volcano like you said

gotta agree that with a portable one you're always gonna be at a disadvantage in terms of the size of your hits, but I still reckon that once you get the technique down you can get some sizeable vapour clouds. For me, my vapor genie definitely outdoes my glass spoon

I was actually considering buying a VaporGenie like 3 years back but was put off by the fact that you need a lighter and it looked awfully messy to "get it right" and not burn the weed (though I suppose this becomes easier with practice), and for being a pipe it seemed hard as fuck to use outside as you need a sustained, steady flame.
I felt something along the lines of "if I am getting a vape, I might as well get a proper one". Haven't quite gotten around to it yet though :v:
You're probably right about the technique, I guess if I use the MFLB for a while it'll be easier to draw big hits. And I must admit the portability and the fact that you can use it outside is a really huge bonus.
I'll just have to play around more with my friend's launch box and try to master it, if I still feel I can't take big enough hits then I'll just go for a proper one.

Last Monday I bought a new bowl piece because my old one was too small and clogged like a motherfucker. I didn't get to break it in that night so I decided to wake up early the next morning before my calculus lab. Early the next morning turned into 30 minutes before class. I kinda lost track of time, pretty common while high, but it just amazes me how time can feel so slow for ten minutes then the next twenty pass you in a flash. I don't remember being too late to class but my professor doesn't really give a fuck as long as you do well. After going over some of the homework she starts to teach the limit definition of the derivative. Everything is going well until she asks the class to do the work along with her. At this point a strong headache starts to set in. She keeps asking for the class to show that they're learning the material but everyone is just silent. Even the typical smart students in the class are at a loss for words. Whenever someone did attempt to answer it was always wrong. What worried me the most was how I couldn't seem to figure out what the fuck was going on either. My mind was in deadlock and I couldn't connect the dots. It was frightening. This is just some pretty basic algebra and the entire class couldn't put out a single answer. I can't imagine what was going through the professor's mind. After grinding through this painful lesson she finally got to our Tuesday quiz. This was a two question quiz about proving that a point on a line was continuous and fixing an equation with a hole. This should have taken me less than 5 minutes but I ended up taking 30 minutes and I didn't even come to an answer to either of the questions. I went up to my teacher once to ask her "what is this question asking me to do?". I'm sure I looked like a complete dumbass. The best part is that after I turned in my failure of a quiz I got to ride with her in a crowded elevator with like 6 other professors. Never again.

Mflb is a very handy device to have around and it's great once you get a proper technique going. It's durable as hell, it looks inconspicuous, there is no use of lighters, it fits in the palm of your hand, there is minimal smell, and while it may not be as efficient as stationary vaporizers, it's still pretty efficient and you get more out of your weed. Just vaped a few trenches in mine :)
